Chelle, just wanted to say before I run away for a bit to please not worry about ranting at all, I can imagine how horrible and frustrated you must feel. Anyway, what is everyone here for if not for things like this? Thinking of you and hope your appointment on Thursday goes well. Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

Thank you to everyone for being so lovely, you're all wonderful and it's really appreciated x
Feel pants about it but I'll take some time and hopefully everything will be back to the usual soon. I'm just going to let myself feel sad, get it out of my system and then try to go back to TTC soon. Might wait until after my wedding at the end of this year now. We were really hoping to be able to announce something then if we got lucky but hey, life doesn't always work out how you plan it...

Take care and catch you all soon.

Thank you everyone, I appreciate your kind words. It's such a rollercoaster and today is one of the down days, but tomorrow is another day. I think it can sometimes be worse being on school holidays and having the time to think. I do struggle a bit when I'm not busy. Am currently looking for a spa day to book with hubby as we are not going away this year, something to pick us both up.

MrsNubs glad to hear your lump is sorted and I hope it just stays away now. Sorry you have missed ovulation, you have had rotten luck and hope you have better luck next month.

Katey, thank you. Having people on here is such a great support. Do allow yourself time to feel sad and don't feel bad about it. Good luck with whatever you decide to do and all the best for your upcoming wedding! Take care and hope to see you back here when you feel ready x

Well I've only gone and done it again. I've calculated OV wrong. I had a small amount of EWCM and assumed OV was soon as it seemed like the tell tale signs but not as pronounced. Then a few days later had an abundance of EWCM and usual signs of OV. This has happened a couple of times before since my MC as my body/cycles have gone crazy.

I think I'm probably 4dpo now but I'm only using it as a general guide until I get a definitive BFP or AF arrives.

I also wanted to send well wishes to everyone who's going through it at the moment which seems to be a lot of us.

Hi athensgeorgia, our bodies can be little pickles at times, they don't always make it easy for us. Even though I temp, the last couple of months my BBT has risen more slowly after ovulation making it more difficult to pinpoint. I hope you still managed to get lots of BDing in. Remember sperm can live up to 5 days so the earlier BDing could still also count! Fingers crossed for you and sending you well wishes too.

Evening all. I've just got back from the Doctors and really feel like we are actually getting somewhere. The Doctor was really good and understanding and has referred us straight away to a fertility specialist. Once we get the appointment through they will look over all of my blood tests again and then give me regular blood tests to check I am ovulating properly as this is usually the most common cause of infertility. Interestingly when I had my last set of blood tests I had a slightly elevated prolactin level and when I asked him what that meant he said it was the hormone that produces breastmilk but inhibits ovulation. I was at the time unknowingly 3 weeks pregnant before my miscarriage and this was probably the reason why, although they are just testing again to double check.

I asked him about what will happen next and he said along with the blood tests I will have an internal scan, ultrasound and X-ray to check everything is ok. Hubby will have also had his SA by this time so they will check all of our results. If nothing shows then the next step is either a laparoscopy or HSG to check my tubes, and then he seemed to think that IVF could be an option quite soon following this. I did question this after having read about a 3 year wait but he seemed to think that if all other avenues have been explored and there is still no cause then this will be the next step, although he did admit his knowledge may be a little out of date.

I do feel a million times better and like a weight has been lifted. I think I just needed someone to recognise that we were having trouble and to say "and this is what we are going to do about it" if that makes sense. I know that there will be a lot of waiting around for appointments and results now, but at least we are on that road...

Just one question that I wondered if anyone knew the answer to. The Doctor seemed to think not ovulating was the most likely cause of our infertility. I always get signs of ovulation each month and my temperature always dips and spikes, and I'm pretty regular. Is it possible to have signs of ovulation but not actually release an egg?
