    Hi Dobbi

Can you please note my goal as 16000. I figure I will go for 6 months plus some extra. It's going to take a long time, so I plan to get my emergency fund challenge sorted first, and then start building this up, and evaluate progress at year end. Thank you:j

Thanks Dobbibill! I think I should keep it at £3000 to keep motivated - I have managed to add £100 on payday after doing a no spend January so now at £600

Haven't been very observant, only just realised this is not the original 3-6 months thread. Can however see the sense of a new one. Looking at finances for next financial year, a couple of bills have come through already so I know what those will be for next year. Expecting a few more changes as well. Once I get those I can look at how much to put towards this savings next year. Looking at reviewing how I organise my finances. Not too sure how yet. Currently I make one weekly payment from my salary account to an account from which is distributed throughout the month to accounts I make payments from. That account has £1500 in it. I am considering adjusting the monthly payment so that it is either sent direct to the relevant accounts or to a new holding account. Just need to go through the sums.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.
