Tax free childcare and Voucher scheme. How and when to switch

I'm currently on maternity leave returning in March 2018. When I return to work I will have childcare vouchers stored up I want to use. However, my husband and I earn way below the £100 k threshold and live in the London area (paying a large amount to nurseries) and would therefore benefit from the new 'tax free scheme'. Does anyone know if there is a deadline for transferring and using up old vouchers.

How do you sign up for the new scheme?
Can you use the benefit for after school provision (child is 4).

Many thanks

Your vouchers are valid until the September after your child's 15th birthday. (regardless if you move to TFC, they are yours)

When you sign to TFC you can still take the vouchers for 3 months.
You will also need to sign a declaration from the voucher company, return to them, your employer and TFC as proof you have indeed left.
