Calm. Down. It's. Been. 5. Minutes.

Why is your husband in arrears on CSA? How have they conducted this review? Have they backed up this claim with their calculations as to why he owes this amount? How far back does this go?

Was he not having CSA deducted from his wages via attachment? Or was he not transferring it himself as intended? If so how did he not notice or realise this?

Try to think logically, make sure you have all of the calculations, dates and amounts to back up what they say. CSA aren't exactly well known for being brilliant with their accurate financial records...

OP you're totally not thinking straight and on a tangent.

Go get the figures, question them, you need proof that he owes this. Do not assume CSA are correct.
  • It's ridiculous! Don't trust csa at all!5 different figures they have came up with up to now? They are trying to push my hubby into agreeing a monthly settlement figure without him even recieving the accurate figures yet? otherwise they did they will carry on taking regular payments ....

if the case is still with the csa this would indicate to me that the case is being dealt with by the enforcement team as it should have switched to CMS by now. the fact he is on deduction from earnings sort of confirms this. so there would be arrears on the case that your partner should have been aware of.
you need to ask them for a full account breakdown to get an exact debt figure and then talk to them about the amount to be taken on a DEO.
you say the case is closing on 4th sep;is this because the child(ren) are no longer in full time education or is it because the case is moving to CMS.if the case is going to CMS you need to get the arrears issue resolved before it transfers as it will be very difficult to get it changed afterwards.
what arrears do your husbands records show as being due
  • It's closing as he is starting uni, the only time we found out about arrears was back in November last year, his ex said she didn't want them and would write them off it now she wants it!
  • The amount now is £4400
