I bought 3 bananas in Waitrose recently
Cost 34p or 11.3p per banana

Couple of days later I bought 2 bananas in Lidl
Cost 28p or 14p per banana

    They were similar sizes.

Don’t assume Waitrose is almost the most expensive or Lidl/Aldi are always the cheapest

I have been low carbing for 3 months, they are treats hence the small number

How much per kilo? Which is what loose bananas are sold as, and is what I buy not prepacked. I do agree that bananas are often similar price per Kg in most stores anyway.

I buy the W8rose ones mostly as they are Fair trade [88p Kg, Lidl 82p Kg]

Why? I've not bought pork from there as I prefer British free range but just curious what put you off
