My husband has this account and I am interested in getting it as I'm sitting earning a £3 per month reward on my Halifax Reward account instead.
I'm applying for a mortgage soon so probably shouldn't switch just yet, but I have just read this article which suggests that the £5 reward for having 2 DDs is ending in Dec 18 and so is the £5 reward for making 20 contactless purchases.
Is this correct? Here's the article:
https://becleverwithyourcash.com/the-best-bank-switching-cashback-interest-offers/#TSB
I can also see nothing on the TSB website that mentions these 2 £5 rewards

Those offers will end as you say but they aren't available for new customers at the moment either. With the turmoil at TSB all you will get at the moment is 5% interest on up to £1,500 on the classic account. Maybe best avoided for the short term or even longer if they don't sort it their myriad problems, two months now! The having more than a few accounts situation is very definitely a thing of the past.0 -

OT but please be aware that fraudsters are taking advantage of the tsb chaos.
I received the following text, apparently from TSB, just after midnight:
"Your online account has been disabled due to failed login attempts. To re-enable access go to your local branch or visit http://identity.tsb.name"
The link takes you to a new scam site that was set up yesterday.
As the message appears to come from TSB, it might fool some people.0 -

I have just received this myself via text. It is a "good" spoof in that it appears to have come from the same number as previous legitimate texts from TSB, which appear in the conversation history for this one.
I am able to get into my accounts via the app as normal.
Thanks for the warning - I may copy this onto the other TSB thread that is running as I have not yet seen it there.0 -

That's a safe TSB web addy on my PC, opens a pdf that tells you what you need for TSB ID check for a business ac. There is no request for info, no facility for input, no login etc.0 -
It's not a safe address! It leads to a fake sign in screen designed to capture log in credentials.
Virgin Media are now blocking it.0 -
Yes, Nick_C is right. I have just accessed it and it has fields for login etc. They've even put a padlock symbol at the top left of the screen as if to try and make people think that it is a secure web page. The non https address should show that this is not the case.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.0

It's worth noting that, even if it was https, it's no guarantee the site is secure itself. Just the connection to the site is. It's simply an encryption mechanism.0
