Morning. I'm going to try to water my plants in the greenhouse (20p strawberries, Steve and Andy's tomatoes once a day) but for the rest again I'm v much a Best of British in my approach too. :rotfl:
Weather is a bit grotty here but it's supposed to pick up later in the week. Have a good day and well done in doing something. :beer:Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Popped into aldi on the way home, todays shopping £49.50 including some household items - dishwasher tablets, cling film.
The food budget has gone up as DS is giving me £20 a month extra for steak and bacon, also Dorset cereals muesli & total yoghurt which I cant get in aldi. He will also have the occasional sirloin for dinner as I am no longer buying 1400g of chicken breasts for breakfasts
This means that I am not doing so much cooking as DS is no longer having chicken for breakfast in cheese sauce/mozzarella & tomato sauce Instead he is having steak & broccoli, or bacon & broccoli (blerghh) which he can quickly cook himself, or berries with oats & yoghurt.
Included in this weeks aldi shop are medallion steaks £3.09 for 2, he will eat 4 a week. I will need to get more milk later in the week & some more frozen fruit & yoghurt & frozen broccoli in asda.
The grocery budget was £300 a month now £320 a month.
Groceries so far this month £135.91 / £320
I haven't updated my SOA as the extra £20 in is going out again on food. I will update it when I get my new water rates bill.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Decided to pop into asda today as I needed some total yoghurt for DS for tomorrow. - its a good job all these supermarkets are on my way home !
They had large extra tasty rotisserie chickens reduced to half price so I bought 2 and they are now cooling down so I can strip them and use the chicken for dinner tonight and lunch and dinner tomorrow. Will save me having to cook. Oats were on offer and I got some frozen veg and fruit. I also got some fresh chicken wings to make buffalo wings later in the week
total spend £16.71
I've just tried to check the price guarantee but I have to wait at least 4 hours after shopping so will try again later.
I've been feeling under the weather and really tired since Sunday and I'm finding it hard to get any motivation to do anything so I am lazing around in front of the tv. I'm watching Charlie Dimmock gardening programme - call it research lol
I really should go for a walk as its lovely and sunny, even though the wind is cold, and I need to take some bottles/jars to the bottle bank. and do some shredding.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Hello well done on what you have done. I think you should rest as it's good for you. I have just come back home after visiting sick friend who is much better and I am going to have a sleep too!:jAiming for a minimal spend 20220

Thanks SW I know you are right of course. I am glad your friend is recovering. I hope you are well too.
I did go for a walk round the pond and dropped lots of glass off at the bottle bank. The fresh air and exercise did me good.
PS I think Charlie Dimmock wears a bra nowadays. Gravity gets to all of us in the end :rotfl:0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Busy day at work. Decided to use the :money:McD voucher survey and had a naughty big mac and fries for £1.99 for lunch today. Didn't eat all the bread but did scoff all the fries
Will just be having soup or a salad for dinner later.
I have signed up to Toby Carvery newsletter and they have sent me a voucher for 2 carvery meals for £10, so I will be using that later this month to go out with a friend. As I usually drink tap water it will be a cheap meal out for £5. Our local toby is lovely.
I have worn my boots so much this winter that I have worn through the sole and they are now squeaking when I walk I am hoping to get a few more weeks wear out of them until payday and then I will have to buy myself some new shoes for work.
I was tempted to send for the £3 grow your own seeds and book on this weeks newsletter but I've realised that I probably wont grow them so I managed to resist.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Well done on surviving work and a Big Mac at such a good price is to be applauded I think.
Good luck shoe shopping hopefully you can get a nice pair.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Pouring with rain here which is good for the garden and its washing my car Hope we don't get any thunder and lightening.
I've made and cooked some burgers for DS's lunches for next 2 days and prepared fajita chicken for tea tonight. Just waiting for Ds and his gf to get here.
I am going to try and use the food we have in over the weekend and not do a top up at aldi tomorrow to stay on track with the food budget. I can get milk from the co-op and we shouldn't need anything else.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
