  • Hi GDN, I referred QQ to the ombudsman in 2016, because they were harassing me over my payment arrangement and they kept moving the goal posts. I was gob smacked when the FOS got in touch and basically said they would be refunding me over £4400 of interest and charges. From the initial contact to agreeing the refund was probably 6 weeks and QQ paid out 3 days after I sent my agreement to the FOS.

I just thought I would let people know where my successes have come from so far!
These are the results so far:
    Quick Quid £3916
    PDUK £349.43 & £2360.37
    SafetyNet Credit £1047.91
    MyJar £700
    Mr Lender £305
    Peachy £115.77
    Lending Stream £100.97
    Uncle Buck £171.58
Northway Financial (SwiftSterling) have today offered £1102.30 after intervention by the OAFS in Malta, I am going to accept this figure rather than risk the regulator reducing this amount and taking time to rule.
The FOS ruled in my favourin respect of 5 loans with Payday Express so I am waiting for a response from them.
I have one outstanding complaint with the FOS for Wonga
I also agreed for balance reduction to zero with Sunny. I referred Trusted Cash and Satsuma to the FOS but they said that the businesses had not done anything wrong (they were single small value loans £300-£400).
So basically at this point I am £10169.85!!!!! back nearer where I should be!!!!

    Hello,
Would someone be able to help me with this? I am a newbie so be gentle! I have had dealings with both Wonga and QQ, starting in 2010 to 2013. Both companies I used every month, would borrow from one to pay the other, and "extended" the loans every month. Can I claim or have I left it too late?

Just wondering how recent you can claim on these from. I believe I started taking out these loans in late 2016 but I think it always fell under the capped amount of never paying more than 100% interest of the original loan amount. Is it even worth me looking at to see if I have any claims?

    Thanks

No harm in trying, worst thing is they can say no and you go to the FOS who also say no. You lose nothing so why not.

If you use the debt camel template, it says in there that you only just found out you can make this kind of complaint so you can give them April 2018 as the time you found out. They will probably reject anything over 6 years old, but at that point you can go to the FOS who do include them. Its always worth a shot!

Thank you Party Poison. If I do this will it affect my credit rating? I'm only just getting back on track and I don't want to make things worse for myself.
    Thank you

    Thank you

I dont think it does affect it - nothing has shown up on mine as far as Im aware. I do know based on previous posts on here that you can have their negative scores knocked off your report so if anything it could potentially boost your score!

  • Hi All,

    Really great thread!

I used quickquid for a while (2011-2014) and got in a bit of a spiral. I have managed to get in to my account but is show 0 Loan history, Is the best way for me to get the details to go through my emails/bank statements?

Alos, i was one of the few who had an outstanding loan wiped from Wonga when they got their wrist slapped, is it worth looking in to that too or was the wipe the book closing on that?

    Cheers for any help!

Go through yourself, but ask QQ for a statement too so you can marry up the figures and make sure they match.

And always worth a try, worst case scenario they say no - go for it.
