I got a £3.50 M&S voucher for doing a survey. And I spent £10 of Boots points, so I won't have to buy toothpaste or shower gell for a while!

Here is a bank account switching inventive from Natwest. Posting because it's quite a simple offer (unlike some): https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/compare-best-bank-accounts#natwestswitch

    Evening all. £47.94 MB'ing today.

Quite proud tonight, having cut mine and my wife's mobile phone contracts down from £39.98 a month to just £16.98 a month. :T

If anybody else is with EE and isn't locked into a contract, you can get a sim only contract from Plus Net (runs on the EE network) for just £8 a month. 3GB data which is ample for me (I was getting 12GB with EE, but only using about 1.5GB)
    https://www.plus.net/mobile/plans/sim-only/

BUT, before switching...phone EE...they're aware of this Plus Net deal and will give you a good deal. I'm actually paying £8.49 a month, but it means avoiding the need to actual switch, and faff about keeping the same number too. Plus I'm really impressed with EE's customer service, so I'd rather be a customer of theirs anyway.

    I had a random cheque for £5.

It's very strange. Capital One wrote to my mum's house (where I have not lived for 15 years) saying they owed me some money and were trying to contact me. I gave them my new address.

Several months later I received a cheque from them for £5 with no covering letter or explanation.

I am at a loss as to how they owe me £5 and why they wrote to mums. The account was closed a long time ago but I know for sure they had my new addresses because I remember using the card to buy furniture when I moved out. I am also pretty sure I would have closed it. And why a credit card had a positive balance anyway... who knows?

I also made 22p when I closed an unused savings account and they paid me the accrued interest.
  • Had a larger than expected car bill yesterday for £170 to get it through its MOT but money has been put away for this kind of thing so not too traumatising.

£7.20 tips for yesterday and £1 InstaGC.

Nice little bonus this morning. Went to a new yoga class this morning... 7 am  and its not at my usual gym so pay per class.

The computer system was down so we were told it was no charge!:j

Bit silly as we all had right change and they could have put in till later but not complaining and I am going to count it in this challenge.

    £4.50 :D

£12.70 in all to add :D

Epic fail yesterday on the EBay listing, not one ☹

£12 received in vouchers today. From memory my £10 a day is still way off but like everyone here will keep plugging away and hopefully the tide will turn.

If I can get to eb@y today I'll be chuffed.
