What does it mean? Surely it's not saying that parents cannot claim JSA?
You may get Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) if the following apply:
you’re 18 or over and don’t have a child
What does it mean? Surely it's not saying that parents cannot claim JSA?

You can meet any of those criteria separately so a 19 year old without a child may be able to claim JSA as can someone who is not in FT employment.
I don't know why but it seemed strange when I first looked at it too.0 -
It's just really poorly written.0

I clicked on the link and read the page - has it changed, because I can't see a line which suggests that you cannot claim JSA if you are over 18 and have a child ???0

Don’t hurry, don't worry and be sure to smell the flowers along the way.”Walter Hagen
