    Ebay Glitch?

Ebay Glitch? 15th Nov 19 at 3:19 PM
Ive just sold an item on Ebay and postage is down as 3 for Royal Mail 2nd Class which is what I always do.

For some reason the postage is not showing up on the invoice and it just shows the sold price as 27 which is the amount of the winning bid. I haven't yet invoiced the buyer so can add the 3 but previously it has always shown the complete price including postage on my page so Im a bit worried about upsetting the buyer if they thought postage was included.

I have double checked my listing and it does not mention Free Postage and the postage price is clearly indicated on the listing.

Has Ebay changed something so you have to manually add postage to the invoice or could it be a glitch?

EDIT- Just noticed that the buyer is in the USA so that explains it! I have added the postage to the invoice and it is automatically adding another 1.46 to the cost. Ive never used the shipping programme before (although I am opted in)and on just reading it it says Ebay will send me the address of a UK shipping center to send the item to.

Should this not happen instantly when an item sells as I have not received anything yet from Ebay.

Thanks for the reply Soolin. I cant see now if I have made an error, all I can see is that I postage down as 3 for Royal Mail 2nd class and also had the boxed ticked for 'Sell Internationally with the Global Shipping Programme'.

I take it Ive made an error then as it looks like I can send an invoice although before I realised it was a USA buyer I tried adding the postage at 3 and for some reason it autofilled underneath adding an extra 1.46?

It is possible to have enable GSP on some countries whilst retaining the right to ship internationally on others , I do it as I tend to send a few of my smaller bits direct to Europe but have GSP enabled for further appeal.

Thanks again Soolin but Im not sure how to do that. If I log out and then try to find the item it does not appear so not sure how I can find it from the buyers perspective.

Sorry, completely misunderstood what you meant.

Ive now done it and it says 'This item will ship to the United States but the seller has not specified a postage method, please contact the seller'.
