    Much like other stores that have disappeared I'm not the least bit surprised. Both Toys R Us and Maplin had some serious issues they seemed unwilling to rectify and they struggled to modernise.

    Were Maplins and ToysRus actually ever on a High St. Surely these were the out of town stores that were taking business from High St shops.

    My local Maplins is (and always has been) in an out of town situation as is the local ToysRus.

    They would charge like 150 for gaming keyboards you could get for 70-80 elsewhere.


    Was only a matter of time for Maplin.

    Whilst it might be fair to say both Toys R Us and Maplin have failed to keep up with the ever changing Retail scene it's the employees and suppliers I feel sorry for.
