Paying a cheque into a Nationwide credit card account 10th Nov 17 at 12:15 PM
How long should it take for a cheque to clear when paying off a Nationwide credit card?
I paid in a cheque on Saturday at my local branch of Nationwide and Barclays.
It is now Friday and the Nationwide cheque hasn't cleared whereas the Barclaycard one cleared on Wednesday.

If you want payments to clear faster, use a method that does so, like Faster Payments.

Some companies are switching to digital imaging for cheques, taking a day or two from clearance times, but it is still a slow method of payment.

Do you mean debit the account(s) they've been issued against or appear on your credit card account as a credit/payment?
