It's high time the Insurance Industry did something about the increase in false claims.

It's all well and good blaming it on things like "cash for crash" fraud and people citing 'personal injury' when in reality they are perfectly 'fine' but they need to get tougher on people.
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

Indeed. But what can they do?
Discount voucher for a dashcam perhaps?

Still livid about IPT going up. Luckily I'm not young anymore and don't face a £2000 PA bill for my car insurance to suffer an extra £100 bill from Mr Osborne.
Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.

Aviva have just said that they will do exactly that.

The company is aiming to triple the number of whiplash insurance claims it fights in court and it intends to challenge more than 1,000 cases this year alone....The campaign will cost Aviva in the short term, but it hopes the crackdown will help to kill off the booming industry surrounding fake claims.

The insurance industry need to be a little more transparent about their own dealings.

Yes the cold calling scumbags need dealing with and any other scum making bent claims, but the vast majority of PI and credit hire claims arise from the actions of insurance companies referring their customers at the point of claims notification.

If ambulance chasing lawyers are the problem, why are so many insurance companies now either the owners of such law firms?

The insurers have been implicit with a lot of the problems they moan about, yet have a sublime record of releasing propaganda to the press who lap it up with copy and paste lazy journalism.
