Free Download - Credit Card The Song 18th Sep 06 at 11:39 AM
The band Motorpool has a song out called 'Credit Card' - I love it - perfect sentiment about the reality of Credit and I know they're site users too.

That's why, for all the right reasons they've decided to make this one a freebie download.

    Sample Lyrics

    Credit card sweet credit card
You have made things so hard
The first six months were such bliss
But... now I'm hanging on by my finger tips

    Lickle bit of politics

There's no way to write this without sounding a wee bit naff, like a stodgy old politician, but wouldn't it be great to get a song like this downloaded and played on the air a lot.

It's a very different way of getting the message out - especially to the under 25s, who may not have learnt the lessons about credit yet. So do spread the word.

    Martin

In my profession as a debt manganement councillor (in the voluntary sector) I quite often give talks about debt and the problems it causes. I will certainly be including this in my future talks.

    Thanks Martin

Martin- do you have a presence on 'myspace' or similar because that might be a way to get the message across better to younger folk (naturally referring them on to this site)?

    Thanks Martin,
Great to get freebies but when they have a message like this it's even better!
Will also send link to son and his mates at Uni. It wll be all round the Student Union before you know it!!
Bad enough if they have to get into debt with students loans without using these plastic 'virtual' money things. (Another plug will be included for your student tips! )

Well for my XP copy of iTunes 7 I would do the following:

    1) Save the file to your hard drive by right clicking on the link to the mp3 file and selecting Save Target As (IE) or Save Link As (Firefox)

    2) Locate the file on your hard drive and then either

    a) drag and drop the file into the main Music/Library view of songs in iTunes
    or
    b) (my preference) in iTunes select the File menu, select the Add File To Library option, find the file on your hard drive using the Add To Library dialog box, select the file and then select the Open button

and voilą ... it's in your music library
