Before it became The Planet Hollywood Casino , this Casino was the newly built Aladdin casino . many things contributed to the owners of the Aladdin selling it to Planet Hollywood , who spent a small fortune completely revamping the casino . everything was changed and as good as nothing is left of the old casino theme except the Name Spice Market Buffet.

Why ? well because for many years The Spice market was considered to be the Best Buffet in Las Vegas .

what i really like about this buffet is the choice ... You have many different stations with all areas of world cooking featured . from Middle eastern to Italian .

Quality is also very high , okay not quite as fancy as The Bellagio Buffet but it gives that buffet a good run for it's money ....and is cheaper so $ for $, i would say the spice market wins out.

Best dish ( and the most popular ) are the King Crab legs . you can eat as many as you can , and plenty of people do they are that nice .

dining area is also pretty nice ,and i have never had to queue more than a few minutes to get in ( unlike the Bellagio buffet )

if you haven't been to a Las Vegas Buffet before , this would be the one i advise you try first .
Better in my pocket than theirs

The Spice Market is one of my favourite buffets. The quality and choice is very good.

It is the only buffet I've found to have smoothies at breakfast and they also do made to order crepes which are delicious.

While other buffets (Paris springs to mind) have gone downhill, I have found the SM to be consistently good both for breakfast and dinner.

As buffets go its one of the best in LV. Decent price for decent food. While most buffets are packed to the gunnels with lardies who rate quantity over quality SM rarely has a queue (unlike somewhere like the Wynn, where over an hour wait is not unusual at peak times!!).

Overall I would probably say we have found the Spice Market Buffet to be the best value in Vegas (that we've been to). As others have stated, it's decent food at a reasonable price, especially when you use these vouchers for $5 off per person:

    http://www.destinationcoupons.com/Nevada/Las_Vegas/spice-market-buffet/spice-market-buffet-coupons.asp

Works out at about $21 for 2, for breakfast. Remember to print plenty so you can go again if you like it !

Wow, the memories are flooding back! We had our Christmas Day brunch there (having spent nearly 2 hours queuing at the Half Price Ticket Booth!!) and it was quite simply the best we had in Vegas, it beat Circus Circus (yuk!!) and Luxor (not bad), by far.

As another poster has said, there is a wide variety of cuisine to try, and it was very good value for money.

Signs off dreaming of all that lovely food.....

Not one of my favorites to be honest. It got such rave reviews from people that when we visited we expected something special. No different than most other buffets in Vegas. Maybe because I am not a big fan of buffets anyway. I can get a really nice cooked to order meal for the price of one, and sit in better surroundings.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    Stoneman, glad you posted.

I don't see the attraction to this buffet. When it was Alladin, we thought it was outstanding, but since it's changed to PH, we're not impressed. We've eaten dinner twice since the change and we've not been blown away. We don't eat crab legs and I know these are a big pull for this buffet. The drinks service was slow, the food and choice ok, but not enough to wow me and I'm looking for anything spectacular.

I'd maybe try to breakfast here and see if this will change my mind.....
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!

My personal favourite in Vegas as there's plenty there I can have even as a vegan.
Agree it was better as Aladdin's but even under PH still very good.

We have only been to the breakfast here. It has always been good for breakfast, with plenty of choices and variety. We have still to try the lunch or dinner there. Maybe we'll get there during this trip.

I have on 7 of my 10 visits to Vegas stopped at the Aladdin / PH and must say it is my favoutrite Buffet, the King crab legs are sensational as is the Carvery . I do also rate the Mandalay Bay Bayside Buffet even more so for the Sweets

We definitely enjoyed SM buffet breakfast more than the Paris buffet. Only there for four days so couldn't manage that amount every morning, had to save room for dinner and $1 margaritas!!!

Had lunch there last week and it was very nice. Lots of good choices, and very good service. All three of us really enjoyed the food. The middle eastern section was our favourite.

My only gripe had nothing to do with the buffet, they were promoting Tony and Tina's wedding and some of the cast members were handing out coupons. If you didn't take the coupon, they placed it in the condiment rack. I couldn't see over it and removed it. (I'm short, what can I say..) One of them came over and replaced it, I removed it again, they came back and replaced it again until I said it was annoying me. They could have waited until I left.
