Send Balloons by post for Valentines 7th Feb 06 at 5:02 PM
A lovely idea for a Valentine's present this. Some of you may remember it from last year, to be honest I put it in my email every year. This makes a great difference to the Teddy Charity for the children's hospital it supports.

Last year MoneySavers balloon buying bought two pulse oximeter machines worth 1,200 which will be used to measure the oxygen levels in the blood and lungs of infants and young children overnight without disturbing them. From what I gather as a very small fundraising operation, the traffic from this is substantial to it... so I've no qualms in pushing it

    What is it?

www.balloonsbypost.com has very Romantic packages that are ideal for your loved one. The site has balloons for various occasions.

    More info from Balloonsbypost:

"This year we've over 100 different designs to pick and mix and the ability from February 8th to put up to 8 balloons in one box; Jumbo sizes and large shapes for the first time; great value bunches and a couple with music. All balloons will be going out as a special Valentine's package which will include petals, rose, heart choc, heart confettios etc. etc.

The larger the order, the more free items we include. And all of this now earns Honey Points (well what else could we call it when we help The Teddy!), our brand new loyalty scheme that allows regular customers to gain discounts on future orders."

Why is it worth buying from them?

As well as being an unusual, thoughtful gift, it's in aid of The Teddy Charity which buys medical equipment for sick children being nursed at home so it's a hugely worthwhile cause.

The place I wanted it posting to is a bit awkward to say the least lol So I phoned to ask about getting it posted there . what really nice people who answered and took my order.
Thank you for this Martin as I was at a loss as to what I could send him and this is a lovely romantic idea.

    Hi Lesley,

We don't put any of the sender's details on the parcel so if you choose not to say who it's from when you specify your message then it will remain completely anonymous.

    Best wishes

    Hi Anita,
As our balloons go by post they are delivered during the day at various times depending on the area you live in. You can request that it be delivered to an office instead if that makes life easier or perhaps ask a neighbour to take it in for you.

If you want to leave it with a neighbour, please let us know and we'll write a message on the box for the postman.
    Hope this helps
    Best wishes

Gotta say. I sent one of these to my mum last mothers day and she was delighted. They even put chocolates in the box which was fab cos I didn't ask for them. Apparently they didn't last very long tho!!!!

I sent a balloon package from this company last year for my sister's 50th birthday. As it is on 15th February there is a risk of being ripped off for flowers and it also seemed like an original alternative 'bouquet' to send to her...

To say that she was thrilled is an understatement! As she opened the box the balloons burst forth and made her squeal, lol! With the way that you can 'pick and mix' balloons on the website I had spent a very happy hour or two selecting various suitable balloons that would go well together - but you can just order a bunch 'off the peg' if time is tight. I just took a look and the bunches seem to start from 15.95 - less than many of the Valentines flower bouquets being advertised and NO worry about whether the bouquet will be dead or alive!!!

The packaging was excellent and the balloons lasted for a really long time.
I would not hesitate to recommend this company! (and the charity aspect makes it even more reason to buy through them)

I am really interested in sending out a balloon, can you give a few more details as to what is also included in the box?

    Chocolate Prices
Oh No! Not again! Fancy a job as our chocolate price checker-outer??

We're just a bunch of unpaid volunteers who try ever-so hard gov to get it right but unfortunately were also human so we do slip up occasionally especially with chocolates that all of us would rather eat than sell!

To answer the question what extra freebbies we put in the box for Valentine's I quote from the site.....
"Even with just a single balloon there will be tissue paper, romantic confettios, heart shaped chocolate, a silk rose and petals, your message handwritten on a little card and the box completed with a thick red ribbon and bow. Larger orders will include not only the above but will have more extras all dependent on how large the order is."

    As for the discount.......

    Best wishes
