Money Moral Dilemma: Is it unreasonable to ask my friends to pay me for taking them to the pub?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... I've two friends who usually get the bus to the pub on Fridays, while I usually drive if I'm going too. On the odd occasion when the bus isn't running or it's raining, I collect them and take them to the pub with me. But as time's gone by, they've stopped checking if the bus…

All-you-can-eat buffets and bottomless brunches - how do you make the most of them?
I'd like to hear your tips for making the most of all-you-can-eat buffets or bottomless brunches. (Perhaps you're a little less inclined to go for a buffet these days, but bottomless brunches seem to be more popular than ever.) Here are a few techniques for starters: * Don't eat breakfast beforehand. * Do one full walk of…

Money Moral Dilemma: Should we keep splitting restaurant bills with friends that have kids?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... For many years, we've socialised as a couple with a large group, which now includes many children of all ages. We're the only couple that don't have kids. We've always split restaurant bills equally, yet now some of the older kids eat more than the grown-ups and soft drinks…

Odeon limitless offer
Hey all - was just having a browse last night on the Odeon website and noticed that you can get a £20 Amazon voucher when you sign up to their Limitless club - which I think is about £14. Think this is a Black Friday deal, but even so, it might help out a little bit with the Christmas shopping - and you get to watch all…

2 for 1 restaurant deals
A few years ago you could go to some restaurants mid week and they would do 2 for 1 deals on meals - you didn't need a card. It seems tastecard have taken over this deal so you have to pay £40 a year to get a card and then they offer the same deal for about 2 restaurants only. Have I got that wrong? Even the meerkat deal…

Meerkat movies
Hi there. I'm new to this forum but wondered if anyone has tried to get the meerkat movies deal for £1/2 recently? The cheapest I can get it is £6.16 which is, of course, a bargain if used most weeks! Just checking that prices on this have gone up before I commit. Thanks for reading.

Money Moral Dilemma: Should we keep evenly splitting restaurant bills even though we don’t drink?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... When we go out with friends, my partner and I split the food and drinks bill evenly with the group, though neither of us drinks alcohol. The groups we’re part of can order multiple cocktails, bottles of wine and beers, which push the total cost up. Should we speak up and pay…

DayOutWithTheKids Scheme - Scam?
https://www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk/ The reason I have questioned whether this is worth it / a scam is that West Midlands Safari Park (for example) is £25pp, but the DOWTK website also quotes it as £25pp but on a page it says "save 30%" (althugh I am unable to find this exact page now). Strangely, they are not particularly…

2for1 deals for Merlin resorts - fake deal?
I'm looking to book on 14th April for Legoland. On the direct Legoland site it's £37 (screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/fmZFZuE.png ) and on the 2for1 Merlin site it's £62 (screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/7gx51Rw.png ). So, in reality the 2for1 deal is not a deal at all. If I've got something wrong, please let me know -…
