Tarting.
I have 9k on cards on various good deals. 4k at 4.9% LOB the rest on 0% for the next 6 months. I also have 7.5k on a loan at 6.9%, total debts 16.5k. I reckon tarting around makes really worthwhile savings if a bit messy but im just wondering how many cards i could get before being turned down-i have 5 at the mo but could…

End of 0% deals - again - TESCO this time
Just found the Jan article about TESCO trying to weed out rate tarts. Doesn't seem to have made much difference to the market yet. I'm starting a slow stooze with the Sansbury's 0% for 10 months card. No doubt when it comes to an end I will just have to pay it off. Will there still be 0% offers next December ? Sim

Is this stoozing?
I have 2 professional studies loans, one taken out in september 1998, to be repaid over 9 years at 8.7% interest ( which was 1% over base at the time). There is £6,743.68 outstanding on this. I pay £152.35 per month. The second was taken out in september 2000 at 8.8% (which was 2.5% above base at that time)to be repaid…

Newbie Question - Amazon - Egg
Hi I took out an Amazon card about a month ago, (actually the bill is due in soon). I have about £1000K on this card at the moment. I've just been looking at the Egg card offer. So if i take out an Egg card, i can ask Amazon to do a balance transfer of say £5000, this leaves my Amazon card with about £6000 in the red, and…

How to increase my stooz pot?
Sorry if this is explained elsewhere but I can't find the answer, so here goes: I started my (very modest - 3k!!) stooz in october with a 9 month 0% virgin SBT. Now I understand that in may I should start looking for another 0% deal that does BTs to transfer the balance to the new card from the virgin account. However, in…

Rejected - Should I apply for another card now?
Another 0% deal is about to run out again so time to get a new card. Applied for the Post Office card (Bank of Irelend) and they rejected me! My question is to the seasoned stoozers here, should I apply again for an alternative now? Heres my current situation: Stooze cards: Lloyds credit limit: £5000 Co-op credit limit:…

Next stooze to Nat West CC
Hi My 9mth 0% is about to run out with Virgin, (money safely stashed in an ISA), as I have a current account with Nat West, I was thinking that would be my most sensible BT move as I will avoid a BT fee. Are Nat West good with credit limits if you have banked with them for years, and have a good record with their account?…

Nawest/RBS without the fee
Am I right in thinking that Natwest and RBS still allow you to do fee-free transfers if you make those transfers in month 4 of the 9 months period? Still not useless as a stooze card since (If I have read that correctly) you can make purchases for three months and these would roll through the rest of the promotion period…

End of first stooze (Virgin)
Like many on this forum I started my stoozing 9 months ago with the 0% card from Virgin that at the time allowed SBTs with no fee. This recently came to the end of the interest free period so I balanced transfered to another 0% offer on the M&S card. With the Virgin card balance at £0 (actually +£5 as they still took the…

Semi-stooze!!
Am feeling rather pleased and have just been offered a reduced rate of 0.9% for six months on my Abbey card. Have transferred an amount into my current account to pay off that ******** Argos card. "And I'm feeeeeling fine". Did contemplate transferring more into my account and then into my savings, but don't want to get…

Experian charged our c card which has shown as a purchase on our stooze card
Took up free trial at credit expert (experian). Cancelled within trial period but when I got my credit card statement today they have charged £5.99. Phoned them and they said they would refund no problem BUT... They charged my credit card with £5.99 so this shows as a purchase on the card. The rest of the balance is from a…

Martins updated article saying Mint charges etc..
"Abbey allows new customers 0% fees free SBTs for 9 months, providing you apply for the card in a branch." I tried to apply for one of these in branch last year but there was a 2% fee on BT's. I remember posting about this at the time. Has the situation changed or was it my branch of Abbey (at Head Office) that were…

Stoozing and Mortgage Applications (Advice Wanted)
Hi fellow money savers. I have a stoozing query that I hope some of you may be able to help with. I'm currently stoozing with 2 credit cards in parallel, both with about 9k on them. The first is an Egg card on its first 0% anniversary offer. The 0% period for this card ends May 06. The second card is a Virgin Money card…
