She is now at home living downstairs in her living room whilst she tries to navigate her…

been working 30 hours a week. My…

Working Tax Credits migration to UC, TC payments stopped early.
Like everyone on Working Tax Credits I was told to move to UC by the end of this month or lose out. I did all of the 'paperwork' online at the start of the month to get the process started. Well my Tax Credit payments immediately stopped and it's been 2 weeks now since receiving them. I got paperwork through the post for…

Savings
We have spent the last 14 years putting money aside for our children's education and now we need to make a UC claim. Its something that is annoying as we have around 20k set aside for them but we do not want the monies in a child isa etc as we want to control how and when they will get the funds. In the unlikely event, but…

Pension Credit - when to notify of 'excess' savings
Late last year my wife was awarded PIP. This resulted in a number of inter-related backdated payments. First we received her PIP backdated to date of original claim. As a consequence we became eligible for increased housing benefit and council tax rebate, both backdated to her original pip claim and received separately.…

PIP appeal
Hi back again! So I got my Mandatory Reconsideration Notice this morning and I haven't been awarded PIP. The man at the Citizens Advice who helped me did say this would probably happen and there was a good chance it would be awarded if I then appealed. I have Long Covid and am constantly exhausted, along with many other…

Severe disability premium??
Hi, I applied for attendance allowance for my mum about 6 weeks ago she started receiving the lower amount. She has just had a letter regards the housing benefit increase and there is an amount of £81.50 as a severe disability premium per week. We have no idea what this is? Would this be because she gets attendance…

Will CA cancel off UC?
Hi, I've recently applied for Carer's Allowance and waiting to hear back. I have informed UC that I am now caring and have been since January (backdated claim). I had to agree to new commitments (nothing was different) and they've continued to pay me? I assumed my claim would be cancelled as we are receiving around £30 per…

Is There A Lag Applying Managed Migration Attributes To A UC Application?
I’ve moved from tax credits to universal credit via managed migration. I have over £16,000 in savings and have had a deduction applied to my first payment because of my savings, incorrectly I believe. The deduction looks to be the equivalent of 4 days of my full UC payment. Looking at my journal, if my application was on…

UC assessment period and payday last Friday of the month
I’ve just taken on a job where payday is the last Friday of each month. My assessment period runs from 28th-27th. I’ve had a look at my calendar and seen that I can be paid by my employer anytime from the 24th-31st. So there’s quite a few times during the year where I will have 2 paydays in one assessment period and a few…
