Help with Amex cancellation
hi All, I have just started a DMP with Payplan and they are at the "contact creditors" stage. Now, I am not in any arrears or behind on any repayments but as soon as Amex were contacted they sent me a nice letter saying they would be able to help me if I kept them informed of my situation. Fair enough...I thought.... Then…

Take home pay on 26k?
Does anyone know roughly after tax, ni etc has been taken out of a salary of 26k a year how much you'd actually take home? A job has come up which would be a 7k increase for me, and just wondered how much extra would be in pay packet?

Ppi
Quick query on PPI... I have it on both my credit cards as I was advised by the credit companies (grrrr) at the time that it was a good thing to have. However, the general impression I get from the board is that PPI is a bad thing and should be cancelled. What do people think? I am in contract employment (or will be in 2…

Should I take First Plus loan?
Help, help. I just come to terms that my debts are now crippling me at £22,500. I've applied for a loan through Freedom Finance and they've come up with a loan from First Plus. Is this my only alternative - my credit rating is not great but not really bad. Any advice would be grateful.

But now I've made a bet that I can clear it in 365 days, finishing 14/08/06. Maybe a very foolish bet. I've tried to set up a website -…

Hello all  I am a newbie on the forum but no newbie to debt I'm afraid. I owe roughly £14,000 spread over 13 different companies, pay just over £40 a month in total. I am in debt by £3500 or so. I took out a loan to pay off my cards, cut them up and haven`t looked back since. This was 5 months ago. I currently pay £102 a month. My boyfriend, daughter and I are planning on getting a house together, so I knew that now was the time to confess all. It went down like a brick in a fish tank.…

Getting bored of it...
Whilst I'm really excited about making steps to pay my debts off, and happy to cut back, its such a slow and at times frustrating process, and lately I'm starting to get really, really bored. I'm fed up of not being able to go out for meals or just a few drinks in the local. I'd really love to do something like a dance…
