Dentist won’t refund my refundable deposit
My dentist has stated they will not refund my deposit despite their policy stating it is refundable if any appointment is cancelled with in 48hours. I fall inline with the policy but they are making up new rules which are not stipulated in the policy. How do I get my deposit back?

Dentist won’t refund my deposit, even though I cancelled with in the time
My dentist policy on their website specifically states, “Patients are required to give at least 48 business hours’ notice to cancel an appointment. Retailer and manufacturer not honouring 5 year parts and labour guarantee on appliance
I purchased a Montpellier fridge which was delivered in August 2020. The fridge was sold with a 5 year parts and labour guarantee. After just over 3.5 years of use, the fridge has stopped working. I contacted the manufacturer to come check. They sent an engineer who assessed and due to a gas leak for unknown/non-obvious…

Amazon vs manufacturer warranty..
Hi i I bought a wifi mesh router from Amazon and it has failed after 34 months. The manufacturer offers a warranty of 36 months but Amazon are only offering a 24 month warranty and as I am outside of that period, will not offer replacement or refund, suggesting I deal with the manufacturer directly. The manufacturer (Asus)…

Partial refund advice
Hi I am potentially seeking a refund for a product that I purchased about 10 months ago. It broke after 5 months and went for repair and has now broken again. To cut a long story short I suspect they may be difficult with me asking for a refund, they've already advised that only a repair or partial refund is on the cards.…

Return of furniture. Must I pay carriage?
Hello. Apologies for the long post but I find it's better than annoying everyone by drip-feeding or obliging you to ask me questions, so here goes: I am a disabled old age pensioner lady with a medical condition that has caused me to become very heavy especially in the hips and legs. (Through no fault of my own, I would…

Small claims victory - Advise needed - When to send the Bailiffs
Hi All My first post. I recently made a successful online small claim against a sizeable car hire company. They failed to offer a defence and a CCJ has been issued against them by the County Court stating that they must pay me the full amount. This was 10 weeks ago and nothing has been acknowledged or any money yet…

Argos, click and collect. Distance sale or not?
I won’t get into all the details at the moment, and will try to keep it short and precise. If an iPhone was purchased online on the argos website, paid for in full at that time and then just collected from the store the following day, would that be classed as a distance sale? Should I be provided a refund if it was within…

Carpet supplied didn't fit
Recently bought carpet for my stairs and landing. The company sent someone out to 'double check' my measurements. He said they were spot on. Fast forward to today ..the fitter tells me the landing section isn't wide enough by about 10-15cms (where it should go into a recessed doorway). He's going to seam a piece in but I'm…

Faulty office chair consumer rights
Purchased an office chair in October 2019. In June 2020, I contacted the retailer because the piston wouldn’t keep the chair up. They said I could return the product to a store before October 2020 and receive a full refund. I explained I was unable to get to store currently and may not be able to then either due to being…

Full Refund Inc. Shipping On Out of Stock Item?
Hi, I recently bought a couple of items online. I was emailed by the company to say one of the items was out of stock and I could either order an alternative or have a refund. I requested a refund and received one but not for the full amount including shipping, just for the cost of the item. The online store sells items…

Return of a faulty second hand part
I purchased a part from a large used car parts supplier and it turned out to be faulty. The part cost £600 and the supplier is trying to say that I'll incur a handling charge to return it. As far as I'm aware this is not allowed. There's a letter on the Which website that you can send in response to that. The part was…

My wife had a dashcam fitted but had to go back because it interfered with the computer on her car. They rewired it and then she realised the camera wasn't working.
