How long to allow for Balance Transfer
Generally how long should I allow between applying for a new balance transfer card and 0% interest rate on my old credit card running out? Interest free period on my Lloyds account runs out on 29th - I've just (today) been pre-approved (Natwest's own soft credit check) for a natwest balance transfer card - is there enough…

AMEX & Paypal
Hi, Someone has suggested transferring money from their AMEX credit card to me via PayPal friends and family. I then move the money from my PayPal account to my bank account and send it back. They say this won’t incur any charges. Is this correct? Thanks.

Why are we ineligible?
My husband and myself are reasonably high earners - in fact, he's a higher rate tax payer. Our mortgage isn't excessive and we don't have massive childcare costs. We've been doing up our house and things are a little stretched at the moment so we decided to move some of our credit card debt onto a 0% card. But when I do…

Experian- Natwest preapproved but already have NatWest card
I have about £6000 on a M & S 0% purchase card which is due to expire. I did a credit card search on Experian for a balance transfer card. A Natwest 14 month 0% fee BT card came up as 'pre-approved'. I already have a Natwest 0% BT card (accepted Sep 2022, 0% ends July 2024) and I owe £2800 on this. Is this a problem or…

Slow stoozing credit card limit
I am slow stoozing an RBS 0% purchases for 17 months credit card paying just the minimum amount each month. My credit limit is just under £4K. My spending will mean I reach my credit limit 5 or 6 months into the card. I will try to get an increase in my credit limit about this time or should I get another 0% purchase card…

Interest free overdrafts
Has anyone had a go at playing this game using overdrafts as well as credit cards? Is there anything to watch out for? Nationwide have just given me a quite generous 12mo 0% overdraft as part of a current account switch so my thought was just to max the overdraft and xfer it to a savings account...

Curve Card technique - withdraw cash on any credit card with no fee
Hey guys, Just thought I'd share a quick tip for you fellow stoozers if you're not aware already (I didn't see a thread for this in the sub-forum) If you apply for a curve card (you'll need to do it through the 'Curve' app on iphone or android) you can add any card to the app and then pay through the selected credit card.…

New to Stoozing next step
I am new to Stoozing but I've just been running up a card towards the credit limit on 0% purchase over the last 6 months. 0% Deal on £6.5K lasts until June 2025 with Barclaycard. Assuming they don't automatically extend my credit limit, what is the best next step if I want to continue this activity with larger amounts? Is…

Stoozing newbie- help
Hi Looking at starting stoozing but I am not sure if the sums add up at the moment. Looks like I would be eligible for 0% credit cards for approx £3-5k limit for 18-24 months. Plugged those figures into the stoozing calculator and looks the profit would be similar to earning cash back with say a Chase debit card over a…

Stoozing with a Money Transfer card - figures sanity check
Have stoozed before but a long time ago. With interest rates on the rise, it looks like stoozing with a money transfer card might be profitable? Specifically looking at the MBNA 14-month 0% card - soft search suggests I'd get a £14k limit, so a £490 fee (3.49%). Rough figures over 12 months. Minimum monthly payment over…

Curve now charging a fee for supermarket cashback on underlying credit card
Curve have apparently just taken a further step towards utter uselessness for me. Just been to Morrisons and got my usual £50 cashback at the till, only to find Curve have added £2 onto the amount charged to the underlying credit card. They seem to now be treating cashback obtained at a supermarket till the same as ATM…

NatWest Group credit cards - what's the opening date?
Hi, I recently got a NatWest Credit Card with a 0% deal on - Balance Transfer (for 14months if done within 3 months from opening) - 0% purchases for 3 months from opening deal. Is stoozing worth it in this scenario…?
Hi everyone, I wonder if people can advise me if stoozing is worth it in the following scenario… I’ve recently opened a new 0% purchase credit card with M & S that I’m yet to use. I have an instant access savings account paying 5.2%. At present I do most of my day to day spending on my Chase debit card (and therefore get…

Money transfer offer: what max amount should I use?
I have a 20 month 0% interest money transfer offer for up to £5,400. My card limit is £6,000. Should I go for the full £5,400 or for less? I am not worried about the impact on my credit reference files as they are in good shape, and I won't need to apply for any loan / mortgage etc. The fee is 3%, and I can get a 6%18…

Do "Curve Fronted" transactions count as "Purchases" on the underlying card?
Just opened a Halifax 0% Purchases card, with the intention of just "slow-stoozing" by using it for my day-to-day spending (plus a moderate amount of mnfrd. spend) until it's full. However, it just struck me that, with easy-access savings interest rates in excess of 5% available, it would actually cost in to cough up the…
