Hi, For the last few weeks I have been emailing the FA who is in charge of my employer's pension trying to get him to verify that he has signed me up to the pension. Finally he emailed me back today to state that he had spoken to my employer and 'we may have to defer any new members for a month or two'. Please could I ask…

Final Salary transfer in to another Final Salary. Is this possible
I have a pension with Cable & Wireless. It is final salary deferred. I paid in 4 years to this. Is it possible to transfer this into National Grid DB Scheme, to add on extra years? The C&W Pension pot works out as just under £1,000 a year at 60, so not a lot really.

Pensions - please help
Hello all, I was wondering if I might ask a bit of advice. I've dipped into the site on and off over the years but a friend of mine suggested I go on the forums for some help here from people who know more than me, so I've registered and am making my first post. My Mum sadly died a few weeks back. She'd been very ill with…

How safe is my company CIS Stakeholder Pension?
I'm in the fortunate position of having some cash with which I could make a sizable AVC, which my pension fund could definitely do with, but I had a worrying thought. Tax advantage of taking out AVC's in final year before retiring
