Best PAYG sim card for emergency use only? (for 2023)
due to this post (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5897608/best-payg-sim-card-for-emergency-use-only/p2) being closed now I wondered what the best option is in 2023? My mom wants to be able to contact me during the night in case of an emergency but I've tried using my phone at night but I've been suffering…

Lebara connection problems
Hope someone can help. 3 of us have moved to Lebara in last 6 months, 2 from Vodafone 1 from Virgin. The first SIM move (phone 1)went smoothly and works without any issues (except detailed below). The subsequent 2 SIM moves (phones 2 and 3) initially went without a hitch, but now neither phone operates properly. It's now…

On 5gb Lebara, not enough.
On 5gb Lebara for a few months now, not enough, so looking at Martins blagged deal for 15gb, seems ideal next step. My son says it's probably for new customers only, so it looks like another move unless Lebara will let me move onto it. Any advice appreciated. Thanks Fortyfoot

Ombudsman complaint - Should I accept or reject O2 proposal?
Hi all I had to complain about O2 (details of the complaint are below). I need to figure out whether to accept the early offer of £150 or reject and let the ombudsman rule on it. I suppose the question is what percentage of complaints end up with a lower settlement than was offered at the start. If I had this data I could…

O2 - Advice needed
I have a sim-only 12 month contract with O2 which ends on 12th April. I have added an Apple Watch cellular plan to this. Cost is £7.99pm for the phone and £5.86pm for the watch which I think is pretty good (15GB data, unlimited calls and texts). O2 are applying their RPI increase which will be 8.8% from April 1st. One…

Grey market smartphones on Amazon marketed as UK phones
I needed a new smartphone, and the Samsung Galaxy A14 looked like a good match for me. Argos, Currys and the like were all selling it for £180, and "Amazon" (yes, a marketplace seller) was selling it for £104. Of course alarm bells were ringing, but I triple-checked the model number on the Amazon listing, and it was the…

Switch out of Sky Mobile
Been unable to negotiate better SIM only deal from Sky, despite 21 years of being with them - so have used MSE's info to switch to new SIM only contracts at half the price and more than double the data. Really disappointed with Sky customer service. Ho hum!

Social Tariffs for Mobile
I am trying to find a social tariff for my niece who has special needs, I know that there is an MSE page dedicated to Broadband Social Tariffs, but is there such a page for mobile providers? If not can you please post the Social Deals/Tariffs you are aware of. THANKS

Sim only with Three
Hi all. I'm asking for my Daughter regarding a sim only deal. Her contract with three ends in March and has been around £35 per month. She wants to reduce this by using a sim only. We are unsure if her phone is locked to that network. She also wants to keep her number. Both her and myself are not tech savvy and have no…

PAC Code failed - is my phone number lost?
Can anyone advise me what to do please? I decided to leave O2 as they've put their prices up again and chose Lebara as recommended on this site. I received a PAC code from O2 and gave it to Lebara who said the transfer should be completed within 24 hours. That was over a week ago. I have spoken to Lebara who told be that…

Are outgoing mobile providers allowed to contact you after you have started port away ?
Are outgoing mobile providers allowed to contact you after you have started port away or even after you requested PAC? I seem to remember that OFCOM brought in rules against this. Sky called me twice and then sent me text. I have started the port which should go through early next week. I would not be that bothered if it…

RWG data issue
My RWG SIM with the 10GB monthly data (£60/year) is working fine, connected to 4G pretty much constantly. My wife's however seems to drop out all the time, is falls back to a 2G signal constantly and ends up after briefly attempting to use EDGE eventually gives up with no data being possible. SMS and calls fine. When the…

Vodafone Switch out and then return as new customer
Vodafone SIM-only deal is due to end soon. The upgrade deals offered are not that competitive compared to what I can get as a 'new' customer but Vodafone don't allow switching your existing number to a new Vodafone contract. So, am wondering if it's ok to temporarily switch to a new provider and then switch back to the new…

Serious speed issues with ID Mobile
Ported my number across from EE to ID today, and had the SMS to say it is complete. However, the EE sim card is still active ( maybe it will cancel in a few days ) AND. The ID Mobile speeds are dreadful. Sometimes I get less than 1Megabit per second. Any ideas ? Phone is a iPhone 11 and with EE my speeds were always above…

Anyone had any success complaining to O2?
I won't give all the background because I'm so stressed but I have been emailing, phoning and writing letters (recorded delivery) to O2 since February this year about a debt that I do not owe and they have now referred me to a debt recovery service! Communication ombudsman won't touch it yet because I'm not quite into 8…

Full month's line rental for 24hrs use?
So took out a contract with Three, upon receiving the phone had no signal, I had arranged for my number to port over. So in less than 24hrs I had returned the phone, got a pac couple of days later. Three are hounding me for a full month's line rental. Is this correct? I thought I'd be charged for what I actually used and…
