4 months into a 2 year fixed - should I switch?
Hi, looking for advice before I speak to a broker please. I'm wondering whether I can get a better mortgage rate and borrow more - either with my existing provider (Kensington) or a new lender - even though I'm only 4 months into a 2 year fixed. I bought my first home in Dec 2021 with a 2 year fixed (around 5.5%) with…

Mortgage 8 years after Debt Relief Order (DRO)
About to apply for a mortgage - do I have to disclose that I had a DRO (8 years since end of moratorium) even if it has been removed from the register and my file? I'm fortunate enough to have a deposit that takes me over 50% and my credit rating is now very good. For most lenders would this outweigh the past DRO?

Any experience with SAM (Shared Appreciation Mortgages)?
I appreciate this is a very niche question. I'd never heard of a Shared Appreciation Mortgage (SAM) until about 4pm today when we discovered my In-Laws have one on their property.
