ISA admin charges
Have an illustration from Halifax re a regular savings ISA. Investing £30 a month over 10 years the charges amount to £387, effectively taking the interest down from 7% to 5.4% per year. Is this charge universal or should I look elsewhere?

Confused about ISAs
Hi, Have been an avid reader of this site for a while now but never posted before so be kind! ;) Anyway, I opened an Egg Cash ISA in September 2008. Since then the interest rate has gone from 4.55% to 1.55% so I am looking to change to something with a better rate. Having looked on here there is a Natwest Cash ISA that…

Dimwit needs ISA help, please!
I have a cash ISA in Abbey, accumulated over several years, but am considering opening a First Direct 7% regular saver ISA and putting in £300 a month, come April. My question is, if in a couple of years there are decent ISAs available, would it be a problem to transfer in from both Abbey and First Direct?

Slow transfer of funds with Yorkshire BS
I have made the mistake of transferring all the family isa's to Yorkshire BS and the process is taking ages. E.G, my account was closed by NW on the 24th Feb, and YBS said they still have not received the cheque. I should be the one to chase Nationwide as they cannot do it. It seems they have a heavy back log of work and…

http://www.bba.org.uk/content/1/c6/01/44/60/FINAL_Cash_ISA_Transfers__Guidelines_August_2008.pdf Having looked at them they are pretty simple. Here is a schematic view - giving my interpretation of how they are supposed to match up to (and be an improvement over) the HMRC 'guideline' of 30 days General Timescale (from…

Hello :) I have a Aliance + Leicester Direct ISA. I've had a look at the interest rate and it has dropped to 0.30 %. I have taken money out since last April, but not put any in at all. I think I know the basic rules of ISA transfer etc. I have less that £7200 in the A+L account. Since the Barclays 'Golden ISA' does not…
