Does anyone have any advice on this?
Back in Feb, I had storm damage to my house and the fascia blew off. I began an insurance claim, but when I got quotes, the first one I got was suprisingly small and not worth making a claim, so I went with them and allowed the claim to naturally close. Then lockdown came and they cancelled the job, so my house has been…

NHBC warranty just expired
Following an internal leak provisionally (but incorrectly) attributed to a recent storm, the insurers have sent some roofers up to my roof. They did not pinpoint any storm damage but did identify "shoddy workmanship" on the roof that is likely to have been responsible for the water ingress . The roofer thought it would…

Faulty Laminate Floor - Advice please?
Two years ago we had a Karnean laminate floor fitted to an existing concrete base. The supplier, A M Selly, checked it but found there was too much damp for them to lay the Karndean directly onto the concrete. They recommended that they should lay a damp-proof membrane (DPM) directly onto the concrete floor and on top of…

Adverse possession of unregistered land
We have lived in our property for 8 years and have shared a 2 car space, 'lay-by' parking area with our previous neighbour, in a friendly and neighbourly manner. The property was sold 8 months ago and the new owners have decided it will become theirs. Land Registry and local searches show the area, which lies adjacent to…

Water Damage Compensation

Uphill neighbours extension and downpipe into ground has damaged and continues to flood my propert
My uphill neighbour fitted a gutter and downpipe where there was not one previously on his property and fitted no drainage for it so the water goes straight in to the ground.
