I realise that BT liaise with TW in order to port the number but do BT actually give TW notice to quit on behalf of the customer? I guess if they do then it will take 30 days for BT to reconnect the line as this is how much notice is…

BT text messaging
On Saturday night at 11.50pm we had a phone call from BT text messaging service. It was some silly message from 'Mum' ,which was obviously not right as both our parents are elderly and would have no idea how to send a text message from mobile to mobile, let alone via BT to a home phone! Phone lines and broadband
Hi all, I know most companies say that you need a BT line to get their broadband, but can you just have the line or does that line need to be paid for (i.e. you need to pay your line rental to BT as well as broadband costs) or is it just the physical line you need? Don't think I worded that too well so hope you all know…

Tonight I dialled a local number, also on 1899, and the person at the other end…
