Size of shipping envelopes for clothes?
I'm decluttering and aim to sell men's anoraks and two-piece men's suits. Any suggesting on what size grey shipping envelopes would be best without having the clothes get crumpled from stuffing them in but won't cost a bomb in postage?

If I list as "used" they are not, if I list as "new" they were when bought!…

Sold a 2019 iMac on ebay for £399 (cost me £1200 new). Was absolutely honest about the condition - perfect screen and front and a very small scuff on the back. The buyer received today and simply says "Hi, I got the iMac. I noticed some dents and what seems to be a scratch on the front of the panel which is quite…

Postage - peeved
Bought an item from a business last Thursday from eBay. The listing said free 3-day postage via RM48, which I knew might be optimistic and I could have done with it arriving ASAP so paid extra for RM24, thinking if they despatched on Friday it should probably arrive by Saturday, or Monday at the latest. (I assumed a quick…

Your listing was removed: VeRO Unauthorised Item Policy
Had a listing removed after being incorrectly accused of selling a counterfeit item. Beyond annoying as the item is a dress I own, around 8-10 years old and never worn so new with tags. Listed with my own photos and description, re listed several times. Suddenly the Brand have apparently reported it as being counterfeit.…

Money Moral Dilemma: My daughter's selling clothes I got her - should she have offered them to me?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... Last year, I bought my daughter some new clothes to help her out as she's been struggling with money. I recently saw that she's put them up for sale on a popular buying and selling app. We wear the same size and I would have loved them. Should she have asked me if I wanted…

Advice on seller protection via GSP to Mexico
Evening all, I am looking for a little reassurance / advice on if I am setting myself up for possible fall. On re-listing an item I either inadvertently checked the the GSP or didn't realise it was an option. Regardless, I have a die-cast car that is has a bid on of £1475 and the current winning bidder is from Mexico. They…

Ebay - Its now free to sell preowned clothes!
Just gone on Ebay to reply to a message and noticed the banner 'Its now free to sell preowned clothes' Guess they must be loosing out to Vinted. Seems as if it is not a temporary move either and applies to existing unsold listing too. Clothing is something I rarely sell but as its now free I may give it a go.

eBay Zero Selling Fees until 15 April - WOW !
This unexpected puppy landed overnight. Maybe eBay are getting concerned about the impact of HMRC requirements on their business model ? I guess the dilemma is whether to rush in and relist all the promotional listings added from last week (70% off, 80% off and £1 FVF) or take the hit now by sending Offers to Watchers this…

Receiving payments on ebay: do I need to provide a paypal address or is it done through ebay
I've just started listing a few things on ebay after a hiatus of several years and am slightly unclear about the payments side; namely, as per my title, do all payments go through ebay so I don't need to provide the seller with my details, as ebay will just pass on the payment straight to my bank account? I think the…

Amazon Marketplace: Scammer Paradise< no monitoring, etc.,
I used to buy lots of bargains on my local forum, legit, knew who you were buying from, but now have to use F/B marketplace, i can't believe how poor it is: its a scammers paradise, there seems to be no monitoring at all by Meta, graphics cards are especaaily dodgy, going for little by sellers who don't live where they say…

eBay seller rules and CGT
Hi I'm wondering if the eBay etc new HMRC rules will effect me. I sell my own possessions, some which have gone up in value. Some I sell soon after buying, some later. Small volumes. I don't intend to buy to resell. I've kept receipts for everything. Occasionally I've sold at a loss. I'm always under the CGT allowance…

Business seller?
Sorry, edited. Not rocket science, just pressed on the seller details 🙄 Apologies for bothering you all again. Simply, how can I determine if someone is selling as a business? There's something I want, the seller has multiples in different sizes (a dress) which are sold as new and "made for". All indicators of a business.…

Just wanted to check with more experienced eBay sellers. Sold some bits a few weeks ago. Sent all via tracked. All show as delivered. But last week a buyer opened an item not received claim. The item shows as delivered two days after I posted it. The coordinates on the tracking page show the right address too. Am I correct…
