Positive balance
I have an old Green Egg card (2004) anniversary in May. Haven't yet sent them a secure message re the new conditions, but was lying low, for the following reason: Last week walked into my local Lloyds and asked for a Platinum Visa card, with a credit limit of £15K. All done and dusted in 5 minutes. Had one last year, no…

Egg Mule / SBT am confused
I know there's been crazy talk recently about Egg and BT fees etc. I'm confused re my present situation. My anniversary has just ended and I've paid all my money back to Egg (originally got the card Nov 2004). I want to take up the Barclaycard offer and was hoping to use Egg as the mule. Therefore would get Barclaycard,…

Is Stoozing still the biz?
Hi everyone Thinking of getting into this stoozing game (thx for all the comments by the way), but before jumping on the wagon I'm curious what everyone's return on time investment is nowadays (approx) to see if its still worth it. Especially now that the credit card co.s seem to be cracking down via BT fees etc. Thanks MM

Should I apply for a Nationwide card
In my stooze pot I have: £10,000 Egg £13,000 MBNA £10,000 Capital One and I have recently BT'd a M&S to capital. So M&S is £0, as is a Barclaycard. (Which I am cancelling) I use a tescos card for everyday spending and pay off in full each month. My credit rating is good and I have never missed a payment (dd's set up for…

Best way to get balance transfer money ?
I have just received an Barclaycard because of their 0% for 10 months, so what is the best way to obtain the £5000 ? I thought they would send me a credit card cheque I could pay into my savings account but they want to send to one of my credit cards directly. Should I let them do that and then apply for a credit card…

Sainsbury's Visa Card
Hello, I ordered the 10 month interest free Sainsbury's Visa Card and today received some stuff through the post. Could someone just confirm that if I only use the card to spend on what I would normally spend from my current account and pay off the minimum payment every month I will pay NOTHING? This is what I thought…

Egg becoming scrambled ? - BT Fees changes.
I can't claim to be the originator of this news (Guest1 on the 'Death Knell' thread was first), but I have also just opened an e-mail from Egg which informs me of changes in their Ts & Cs... one of which basically announces an increase in the BT fee from 2% to 2.5%, and the removal of the upper limit on this charge.…

Virign Card for SBT?
I received my Virgin credit card three weeks ago, intending to use its credit card cheque facility to stooze the available balance (95% of the £8K credit, less £50 fee.) I called them this morning to complain that I haven't received any cheques yet, and the CSR told me I could do a balance transfer to my current account,…

Stoozing or cashback credit cards
Which is a more profitable method? I currently use Amex platinum ( up to 2% cashback) and egg money ( 1% cashback). Should I change my method as a way of getting more cash? How much could I get from stoozing? Am complete novice to this idea. PS. if I went for it, should I go down the BT route or 0% on purchases route?

Another Capital One BT question
Capital One have sent me a circular, offering a 0% interest rate on balance transfers, until 1st July 2007. As with others mentioned on this board, it has an uncapped 2% fee. I've read various discussions on here and on stoozing.com, that come to the conclusion that this offer is not particularly good, because of that fee.…

Is this a stupid question?????
Dont know how BT work as I've never done one before as I've only ever used cashback cards until recently. Since discovering this site I have started to do the slow stooze and applied for a 0% card for 9months and putting all my spend on this card. But can anyone tell me if I apply for a BT card with 0 fees, what questions…

Hi peeps, I just on the offchance applied for a 12 month 0% halifax credit card to transfer my £2,400 overdraught too. I put in the debt etc (ie transfer) and finally after submitting it, it gave me a credit limit of £7000 ( I thought I would get declined) . £10 for free from B & Q and its really free
A loophole left open with the B & Q store card allows anyone who signs up for the card to get a £10 free voucher to spend in store. The good bit is there is no minimum spend, i.e. buy a tape measure about 89p, the bill comes minimum payment is £4, you then have £13.11 to spend in store for just 89p outlay! The voucher…

The death knell for stoozing?
I have been stoozing for 3 years now but I've decided to throw in the towel. The simple reason is that its getting more and more complicated. In the early days there were lots of 9 months 0% BT offers. Now I'm finding that many charge fees and even the ones who don't are ambiguous in their T&C's about whether they do or…

Watch out - Egg unclear about interest charge!
I "stoozed" a large amount of money from my Egg card last October during my anniversary month (thanks for the tip MSE), which was due on 1st March. My Feb statement said if payment was made in full on 6th March there would be no interest payable. I emailed customer services in Feb to double check and they confirmed this.…

Does anyone still offer high credit limits?
Evening all Moneysavers, This question goes out to all fellow stoozers but particularly you hardcore ones. I have been stoozing for 18m or so and have never had any problems with getting 0% cards. When I first started, myself and the wife were usually offered £10k - £12k limits with cards such as FD, Lloyds etc but dont…
