Recommendation for easy-access cash ISA Provider (Rate + Service)
I'm planning to open a new easy-access Cash ISA. While it's easy to find lists of the best rates, reviews of top-rated accounts like Plum and Chip reveal lots of complaints about buggy apps, difficult processes, and absent customer service. I'd rather sacrifice a bit of interest in favor of a more reliable service. What…

JISA Yearly Cap
Hi, was wondering what happens if I have more than the £9k cap of new money for opening a JISA for each of my kids? In short, when my dad passed the sale of the house will be split between myself and my siblings with a % going to the grandchildren. This will be over £9k for both my kids. I believe the solicitors (also who…

Hi All, I've just got a Virgin Money current account so I can open the 1 year fixed ISA with them. I've already got another ISA with them from last year (opened in March last year) and a second ISA with Cynergy that I opened in August last year. I will move the Virgin Money ISA from last March into a new ISA with them. But…

Mum's Barclays ISA...12 years it's been in !
My mother who's 86 has just told me she has an ISA in Barclays that's been there 12 years ( ? ). She says she's earned £108 from it. Now she might be getting the facts wrong...but they might be right. Should Barclays have contacted her and suggested a better deal if this is correct ? I've mentioned that she can take the…

Newcastle Single Access ISA - 5%
Is it any good ? Wife fancies opening an account. I notice that the application form doesn't allow one to both transfer in and add new money......it's one or the other, can't tick both boxes. Seems rather strange. I guess they are only structured to do one thing at a time !

Principality Online Bonus ISA Issue 4 withdrawal
POBISA issue 4 was opened in Tax year 23-24 with no new money and funded by an ISA transfer in 23-24. This is a "flexible ISA" and I intend to make a withdrawal soon. I believe I can replace this withdrawal any time this tax year 24-25 without the replacement contibuting to my £20k ISA allowance. I may want to contribute…

Virgin 1 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA Exclusive - to fund or not to fund
I have opened a Virgin Money 1 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA Exclusive, the sort code starts with 05. I had to first open the M Plus Current Account which also has the same sort code. This is the top rate fixed cash ISA deal at the moment (5.05% AER) and there doesn't seem to be any other fix deal near this rate. However, I…

New Isa Rules Query
With the new Isa rules coming in to effect this tax year, I was thinking of putting about £5000 into a fixed rate Isa, and then later in the year opening an easy access Isa. The problem I have is that the rules state * You can now subscribe to multiple ISAs of the same type within the same tax year. Because they are two…

ISA Funds Holding Cash in Money Market via HL Platform v Regular Bank ISA
I am wondering if anyone has any opinions on pros and cons of holding cash in a standard bank ISA or investing it in a stocks and shares ISA with HL and then taking out an investment with something like the Royal London Short Term Money Market. I was just wondering if the Stocks and shares option might give more…

Metro Bank 1 Year Fixed Rate ISA
I opened a fixed rate ISA with Metro Bank last November via an ISA transfer which is due to mature this coming November. I’ve had fixed rate products before but not an ISA so was surprised to see interest paid on 5th April as I was expecting all of the interest to show up at the end of the 12 month term. That’s not an…

Parent paying Money into teenager's Cash ISA + Junior ISA
Can a parent pay money into their teenage child's (under 18) Cash ISA and Junior ISA? OR, does the parent pay into child's current account first and then the child transfers into the cash ISA (different banks). Are there any tax implications? Any other considerations to keep in mind?

WestBrom WeBSave 60 Day Notice ISA (Issue 2) - considerations while transferring out
Planning to open the WeBSave 60 Day Notice ISA (Issue 2). As there is a 60 day notice, how do we do the transfer out without paying the charge equivalent to 60 days loss of interest. I know that in the transfer-in form with the new provider, I can request the new provider to wait for the "notice period" before asking…

Hi everyone, I was looking for some help/advice on what I should do next? Why do Stocks and shares ISA transfers take so long?
I've been moving old Stocks and Shares ISAs into cash ISAs. On average it takes 6-8 weeks to complete the process. Why, in this electronic transfer era, does it take so long? The 'industry standard' is 30 working days. Why are these providers allowed so much time?

ISA Help
Hi, apologies if this is a repetition of other questions. I am just struggling to comprehend something and wanted to ask very clearly so that I can understand. I opened a 1 year fixed ISA with RBS at the end of the tax year (before the deadline), and put the full £20,000 allowance into it. I have some more savings and want…

Confused about ISAs
Hi. I am retired (and already pay tax on my pension) so any savings are also taxed. I have a Santander current account that is only paying 2% interest - So I am probably wasting money having it all in that account. I am a bit confused about ISAs and the £20,000 thing. Is this the maximum tax free amount one can invest (as…
