is it too good to be true?
I am being relentlessly pursued by British Gas to return to them for dual fuel. Their sales pitch is that they guarantee to beat all other suppliers until Nov 2011. They say if any other utility company lowers it's charges to below British Gas they will drop their price to beat it. All sounds wonderful but I am firmly from…

How much would it cost?
I'm moving to a 2 bed ground floor flat on 17th July (wooo! so excited!!!!) Thing is, I'm desperate to know how much money I'm going to be left with after bills to put towards debt. I know ideally wait until the first bills and all that, but I'm so impatient! I'm really bad at guessing figures so am asking for any help if…

Hi, about to move into a property and I have the choice of using electric or gas for the cooker as I currently don't own one and the supply for both is available. Which one is generally cheaper on the bills? I'm guessing gas but you never know!

Do I fix my rate or not?
I've just had a letter from my current duel fuel provider offering me 2 more years at the same fixed rate but do I take it or do I jump? I jumped to them 2 years ago and then prices started to fall, but I was trapped but if I move now will I face the same problem? Whats everyone else doing - to fix or not? MM

Faulty electric meter
Hi guys and gals, received an electric bill from edf today which was £700, to cut to the chase, after a telephone call to them it turns out that my dual tarriff meter hasn't been recording day units and only night ones. Edf state that it's industry standards for faulty meters to be estimated. Surely, edf have to prove my…

MoneySavingExpert Simply Switch Voucher!
Hi, I was wondering if anyone else was robbed of their £35 amazon voucher using the MoneySavingExpert link? I've just tried to claim, In the fine print it says that you have to wait until you are connected and claim within 60 days of the application. Well I waited until my first bill (to be sure I'm connected) which…

Moneysupermarket Switch to Atlantic Cashback
Back in January I switched both my gas and electricity to Atlantic using Moneysupermarket. My recollection is that, at the time, Moneysupermarket were offering £30 cashback to switch both, and a month or so ago they did indeed pay me £30. This morning though, I notice they've paid me a further £30. I wonder if I'm…

Switch before or after home move?
Hi all, Live in a two bed flat in London on dual fuel with nPower and keen to investigate switching. Due to move to new flat in 3 weeks time. Moving home - switch off date?
I apologise if this is a really stupid question. SO and I are moving flats during July. We don't have to be out our current place until August so will take our time moving our stuff over. Regarding gas & electric: when would be the best time to "switch" over to the new flat? i.e. will the supply to the new flat be switched…

Eon joint account?
Morbid question maybe? I have recently retired and all my married life I have dealt with the bills, all in my name only. My wife has got it into her head that all the bills should be in our joint names because her sister had problems with bills when her husband passed away. What do other people think? To the Eon rep how…

When to switch gas and elec provider?
My current gas and electricity fixed price deal runs out at the end of June. I want to switch to E-On but am unsure if I should wait for my current deal to end (to avoid penalty fees) of if I should switch now to allow for a time delay during the handover?? Any advice appreciated.

Scottish Power - £130 p/mth but living alone
I feel like I've hit a dead end. Recently bought a property and the electricity supplier (no gas) was Scottish Power. Property had been empty for the previous 2 years before I moved in.
