OneTel withdraw 99p E&W Call Offer.
OneTel have now withdrawn their 99p a month E&W call offer, and reverted the charge back to £3.99p. Which is a shame because it was good for cable customers. See http://www.onetel.co.uk/index.php?node=landline Is this a sign of things to come now they are owned by TT?

TalkTalk Free Evening Calls expiring!
Hello, I joined Talktalk about a year ago on the offer of free weekend calls and free calls to the USA, Australia and Canada off peak. However, this is coming to an end now and I was wondering if there are any other suppliers I could jump to for free evening and weekend calls, or even free all day uk calls if anyone is…

Post Office Home Phone Service merged
I have just noticed that the Post Office line rental is cheaper than B T (if you pay by Diretc Debit) at a cost of £9.95 - VAT inc. They also support the use of calling pre fix numbers like 1899 which route charges via others. Has anybody anything to say about this service? Their call charges are nothing special but better…

BT 1280 override question
Hello I currently use Onetel as my provider - they took over BOTH the line rental and call charging from BT What happens if I use the BT override prefix 1280 before a call ? (Im specifically thinking of that new 1p per minute mobile calls promotion which are MORE than 1p if I use Onetel as they charge more than the BT rate…

The 4 second, £1-53, wrong number
A misdialled 18866 prefix meant that we connected to 118866 directory enquiries. £1.30 plus VAT on my BT bill for the 4 second mix-up! I wasn't too bothered by the different call rates between 18866 and 1899, but I'll shift to 1899 to avoid that margin of error in future.

Can I switch from toucan to Just dial?
I am with Toucan for my call costs. They used to be under a fiver a month. But now that I am at home in the afternoons I'd like cheaper daytime calls. Can I switch to Just dial or do I need to let Toucan know first?

NTL Line Rental £12.50?
Correct me if I'm wrong but after the recent price rises, is the lowest line rental available from NTL for just a phone line actually £12.50. Do they have a death wish? (NB - this is for new customers, the rip off 3-2-1 tariff with 6p connection fee is still £10.50 for existing customers)

07000?

Ever been unable to dial beyond 4 digits ?
Guyz Got the most curious fault on my phoneline - which is CPS'd to Touch Telecom - part of the e7even group of companies. I can dial FOUR digits but once FIFTH digit is dialed, I just get a repeated DURH noise - loud strident and repeated - not one I'm familiar with. So I can dial 1571 for instance to check for BT Call…

Back to BT?, or better off with NTL?
Ive had some appalling Customer service from NTL recently, and quite frankly I have had enough of the schpeel and arrogance they give me over the phone. I have wrong bills sent out each month, and letters with both showing different amounts owed. No one can sort this out for me, even after numourous letters sent out. Cold…

0844 - Martin says 1p, BT says 7.5p
I'm puzzled! In the Money Saving Tips newsletter, Martin gives details of an 0844 number where you can call UK mobiles for just 1p/min. However, when I phoned BT to ask how much it costs to phone an 0844 number, they told me they charge 7.5p/min to call 0844 numbers. So if I phone 0844 721 2525 from my BT landline to make…
