Licence and BBC Iplayer Advice
Had relatives stay for a couple of weeks while they were sightseeing. We no longer have a licence and I never thought to mention it to the relatives. They watched Iplayer over 2-3 weeks they were with us and tv licensing want me to purchase a licence or fine me 1K. I didn't realise they were using the TV. Anyway, I've…

BT to EE Con
BT Confidence trick watch out. BT took on EE and it looks like they have decided to split Residential to EE and Commercial stays with BT. On the 25th March I phoned BT and they suggested I would get a discounted deal by moving to EE, which would be £5 less than I am paying BT, with mostly the same contract except I had 700…

Virgin media price negotiation - How are people doing?
Hubby on the phone right now, just over an hour so far, as they are trying to raise our monthly charge from £59 to £88 !!! So far the best offer they have made is to give us a much bigger package (faster BB, loads more channels, free anytime calls) for £69. But we're happy with the package we have. I don't want to be…

Free calls abroad via a 0870 service
Hi all, Just returned back from a holiday to Portugal and left something in the hotel so have had to phone them (good news is the item's been found, just organising DPD to get it back here to the UK). Was looking up my carrier's charges (Lebarra - only 2p per min, pretty good!) but then came across a service saying you can…

I think I have been scammed by BT into an EE tablet contract!
Hi, Long story short, I have been unable to make outgoing calls on my BT landline, which turned out to be an issue at the local exchange. I had 2 engineer visits, & was advised to get in contact with BT & request a "smart hub 2" Wi-Fi router to replace my basic smart hub. I contacted BT & did this, but they sent me the…

Cannot get ITVx or UKTVPlay on Humax Freeview Play HD Recorder
I bought a new Humax Freeview Play HD Recorder (model FVP-5000T) about 18 months ago. I can get most of the smart TV channels, such as BBC Iplayer, Youtube, PBS America, but there are some channels listed on the Freeview screen I cannot get at all. When I go to ITVx, I get a message which says "ITV Hub is unavailable on…

Now TV BWlegal letter of claim
Hi. I received a letter this morning from BWlegal demanding a sum of £425.91 on behalf of JC International Acquisition LLC, original creditor being Sky UK limited (Now TV). Apparently, they have made several efforts to contact me about the balance and as all their efforts have failed, they are taking legal action against…

Sim only.
My Daughter is with three and her contract has ended. She came to re-new but they have quoted her £46 per month. Her phone is also locked to that network. She doesn't want to leave three but has seen a monthly sim only at £8.00 pm on uswitch. I and my Daughter have no clue as to what the process is to change over to this.…

Landline number changed overnight
Hi, my elderly mum is with shell/octopus for her landline contract (no broadband). 10 days ago I rang her home phone with no problem but the next day it was ringing but I couldn’t get a reply. I rang her mobile and got her to ring my home number from hers. My caller ID said that her home number had changed. It had the same…

Virgin landline calls to Virgin mobiles still free?
Hope I can get help with the following: Before the merger with O2, you could call a Virgin mobile from a Virgin landline for free. I used to have a Virgin mobile which became and O2 mobile after the merger. My mum has a Virgin landline. But after the merger I cannot find out if there are still free calls from landline to…

Landline calls being charged after 60 minutes - are there any that don't?
Hello, I'm trying to find a landline phone contract for my father-in-law. He's 95 with failing eyesight, but still lives at home on his own. He's on an 'inclusive calls' package for his landline (doesn't use a mobile) but has been getting some hefty monthly bills, and we've realised this is due to him not ending calls…

Currently have TV & broadband but not kids or sky sports. Currently £90 increasing in April to £97. Called retentions team & best they said they can do is down to £80 overall which was disappointing. O2 have totally confused me with this SIM only deal.
So through sheer inertia I have been paying O2 more than £75 a month for a SIM only deal for 3 phones - myself and 2 teenagers. Embarassingly, I've been out of contract for almost a year. Finally, since this is really expensive, I check out what's around with a view to change and find Vodafone with a £8 deal for 20GB.…
