Popping on to say the dungarees are almost done! Just buttons and top stitching to add.Made a handful of scrunchies with the few scraps I hadn’t given away, so that helped to make a dent in some supplies
Took them in the car today to slip stitch the turning holes shut while OH drove us up to my mums and my bus sister promptly snaffled a pair so I guess that means they looked good 🤣

@Stashbuster nice selection of scrunchies - great way to use up leftover fabric.
I've finished the baby quilt this morning. It's a crib/pram size as I decided the other fabric didn't go well so only used 2 fabrics and leftover fabric for borders which went really well.I have a bed runner that I started last year but didn't really like it so I'm going to remake it into a throw. I'll start that this afternoon as I can't begin the cushion till the vilene arrives.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Been working away on the dreaded elephant. Still determined to get it finished this summer! Managed to make wee bunnies and chick's for the mums at my toddler group. Of course I forgot to take pics😆
Otherwise a wee bit like everyone else with the slump, but with gardening needing done I suppose it is only to be expected.
@Florenceem sorry you are having a horrid time just now.
@Soontobeoap please be careful and take it easy. I was 14 days positive with covid then got a chest infection on top of that. I was off work for around 8 weeks and have now been told by Dr I have long covid! Nasty blighter!!!!2023 Frugal Living Challenge

@plumduff love the baby quilt, @RavenRover I had a chest infection before! 16 days and energy just coming back. In fact I am like a durecell bunny trying to catch up on all of the housework and bulk cooking. Also trying to keep the weight loss going.
Hoping to make bedroom pelmet tomorrow although the sunshine is drawing me out into the garden.*craft stash 2023 = £108.36 spent - 80 items made/mended/finally finished.

Afternoon all
@plumduff55 I love the guinea pig clothes for the cushion - my daughter would love that - she has a fur potato as she calls him called Ron and he is a little sweetie although likes to protest at about 6am if the sun is up and shes not giving him attention as he lives in her bedroom so Im hoping this summer he can be out enjoying the garden with us. The blanket squares are coming along nicely too and I love the colour selection you have chosen. The crib blanket is beautiful
@Stashbuster
Great way to use up scraps of material - are they hard to make? me and my daughter are always running out of scrunchies and I think that would be a great make for the two of us to make together especially since she is starting textiles soon in school. I will have to investigate a bit. Cant wait to see the dungarees.
@RavenRover glad to hear your elephant is making process and like you I have been in the garden trying to sort that too but I know once I have gotten the majority of that done then I will be able to sit in the sunshine and craft away so it will be worth it in the end - just need to find chairs now - and maybe a new table!
@Soontobeoap
I hope you are continuing to be on the mend!
I have had a weird chest since saturday - ive tested and its negative but I was getting random pain like Id pulled something but woke up this morning feeling mucus-y and my nose running so not sure if I have a bit of a cold and maybe pulled something or not. Did do little bits in the garden today like duct taping poles together and then went out with the kids to collect dandelion leaves and flowers with the kids (12&18) for the 2 lizards and the guinea pig so that was a nice bit of time out but I have enjoyed being home and having peace and quiet today with them all back in work/college/school.

I've not been on here for ages. I also hit a bit of a slump, but regained it when I made some of my mixed media ladies One of my craft buying 'mistakes' recently, was, I bought some burnt orange yarn, (which was more of a brown colour) thinking it was double knitting, turned out to be aran and not enough to make a cardi with.I'm sure it can be mixed with some other colour. At the moment using to much brain power to think what!5

@pennib sorry but "mixed media ladies" has gone straight over my head. 😂. Maybe a pic would help?*craft stash 2023 = £108.36 spent - 80 items made/mended/finally finished.

@sammy_kaye18 the scrunchies are fairly easy - there’s two main methods - sew a tube with each ends open about an inch then join the middle
or join the middle and use a burrito roll method (bit hard to explain but there are plenty of vids on YouTube)
Finished this little reversible frock tonight 🥰 but I put on one of the snaps facing the wrong direction and had to pop it off. Unfortunately I think this has weakened the fabric. I may have to open it and see if I can add some vilene behind for extra support 😫
