Mhags - that last memory really is your special one, given that it was not always the norm. A name shared, 🤲🙏 I was so glad to learn that my 16-page letter+enclosures had reached NZ 2 days before my mother was killed. She'd apparently enjoyed sharing it with 1 or 2 close people and work colleagues. I made it part of her final journey when I reached NZ. # 1. Another pick-up and offload just done, 7 ambient crates for the Red Hen Project. Small pause before debadgering appt, for which - Hooray!
2. Things blowing dry.
3. Last night's hwb. Right shoulder blade area has ached severely for over a week, prob. from ultra lugging+gardening,. It's really tiresome now and pain is ever present. Hwb+gel did help last night, but it's thudding away again now.

Hello. I’ve been up and about since 3.30am so hoping I sleep better tonight.
Thank you everyone for your kind words. It means a lot.
Up early and hung out washing at silly o’clock!
Walked doggy at silly o’clock.
Sorted out flowers at silly o’clock. Went round to mums at silly o’clock and aunt was sound asleep on the sofa. Tiptoed around for a bit.
Took some drugs to pharmacy. Got filled rolls for our breakfast. Dropped more stuff in the food bank collection basket at supermarket. ( took loads down yesterday) Littel great nephew was there, he’s just joyful ( with way too much energy!) we walked round to mine and he played with the dog for a while to keep him company then we walked back round.
More phone calls.
Sister arrived. In clearing out mode.
Aunt left.
More phone calls.
Then I came home and made dinner for everyone. And whilst it was cooking I had two stunning flower boxes delivered. One from work and one from favourite florists which was so kind.
Enjoyed dinner of steak pie, leftover baked potatoes roasted with parsnips. Cabbage, broccoli, sprouts and carrots. Was so delicious. Probably not on plan for diet but oooft was it needed. Realised I’d forgotten to feed the dog! Poor thing! So he was fed!
Then back round to mums for a couple of hours and now just home and straight to bed!
2. Went to see Brassed off with music played by a brass band. It was at Royal Albert Hall and is something that has been cancelled a few times. It w as an enjoyable evening.
3. Trains were in time which was good as didn't have much spare time!
4. Reading my book on the train.
5. Arrived home to find another birthday present waiting.
1) Not a bad sleep, though I'd forgotten just how early bigger son gets up.
2) Made a cooked breakfast.
3) Bigger son went to London on the train and is returning in his new Ford Transit camper van! The lady sold it to him with all the fittings, bed, solar panels etc.
4) Had to direct my brother to a certain sight he wanted to see today. It was made slightly more difficult in that brother was in Paris... We have now all walked along the Promenade Plantee.
5) Went to Ludlow and got bigger son a t shirt and a dress for me from the charity shops.
6) Housework all afternoon. Absolutely cleared and emptied under the stairs. It was replastered a few years back and comes up quite well. Stuff in the shed and stuff in the bin. Then cleaned the floors, tidied up and cleaned the bathroom. Load of washing nearly dried on the line.
7) Looking forward to Who do You Think You Are? later on.
1 Up and travelled over to see the in laws who were on good form.
2 They treated us to a fish and chip supper.
3 DH’s, DB and SIL popped over for an hour to catch up.
4 The journey back was uneventful for once.
1 Up early again, feeling a bit shattered now.
2 The new duvet arrived, so I cleaned the upstairs and got
the new bedding on. The old duvet will be halved and move to its next
lifecycle of ferret bedding.
3 House tasks achieved a pleasure they are done, the usual
laundry loads, mowed the front and back garden, (sorry to no mow May).
4 I went to check the roses out around the pond for the smell, and they were full of bumbles.
5 Lunch was a Cornish pasty and dinner was fish and
beans all from the freezer.
