Where is the best place to buy an inexpensive men's suit in Belfast.  I am in my 60's and want a suit that is a bit formal and not too hipster.  My budget is £150 maximum.  So many of the big stores in Belfast have closed down and the smaller shops do not usually advertise their prices, so I am a little nervous about going to them.  M&S is the only store I can think of, but are their any other shops where I could get what I want at a reasonable price?

M&S is certainly a good starting point but have you considered Next?

To be honest I think I would feel a bit out of place going into Next.  However, I see from their website that they have some suits at reasonable prices and not too hipster either.

Yes recently tried Dunnes in one of their stores outside of Belfast, but there were no suits as far as I could see.  Same goes for Primark.

The good thing about M & S are, they offer Mix N Match Suits, so you have a choice of Jacket Fit & Chest Size to Match the Trousers which have various Waist and Length Sizes. Plus they are within your budget.

    The one in Belfast should.
I know DfC use it for people on benefits looking to get work and needing interview clothes.

Thanks to everybody who posted.  I looked at M&S, Next, and Dunnes on Friday.  I could not find what I wanted in my price range.  Dunnes had no suits at all.  I think I will have to consider spending more that £150.

I just had a look online, M & S have 16 suits under £150, if you have an M & S card, you can go into the store and access their online buying system, or just ask a sensible looking assistant to help you. You can also buy online from home and take the suit back if you don’t like it.

You are obviously a big M&S fan.  I once bought a pair of trousers there which were OK but never really got the hype around the company and why so many of their customers are so devoted to them.   Thanks anyway for your input.  I am resigned to paying a lot more now and will not rule out M&S.
