I'm in the process of switching from PowerNI to SSE as they are giving a 20% discount off the unit rate for a 1 year contract. Seemed a no brainer as PowerNI have just put up the price by over 21%.
A couple of questions:1. what is SVT?2. is the 20% discount not a "sweetener" as they will raise the rate dramatically after 1 year, much like gas has risen?
It's absolutely painless, no cut in supply, there are no differences in quality etc... so why not always go with the cheapest?
But be careful - they'll impact your credit score
