I have been with my NHS dentist for years. Apparently i need my gums cleaned of tartar, can he ask for payment 6 months in advance of the work being carried out.
Why would he ask for payment 6 months in advance? Does he mean a payment plan and to start that 6 months before you have the treatment?
If you can pay for the treatment on the day then I don't see why you should/would pay in advance.

I suggest you post this question in the Health section where several very helpful dentists regularly respond.....
