Poor darling Dr F0xh0les just got his positive PCR result text. We are totally unsurprised. So DS4 and Himself are officially plague-ridden. DS2 has still not yet had his result - even though I put it in the post box with DH's - so really it should not be too long now. I think this means DH can be released back into the wild on 30th October as long as the lateral flow test says negative.
I made a rather nice biryani for supper, and made courgette and carrot bhajis with fenugreek leaves in them. They were delish, sadly halfway through I got strangely dizzy, and began aching madly - not exactly sure what it was - anyway, made DH stand on the other side of the kitchen in his mask in case I fell over. I was not confident messing about with boiling oil while fighting phantom morning sickness. Bizarre and unexplained behaviour.
We will continue to test again again again again again in the morning, our PCR tests have not arrived yet, so
we are assuming me and DS3 are plague ridden too, even though the LFTs
are still negative (except my midnight one last night) Best to be on the safe side.
Tomorrow will be leftovers and using up stuff - a 'pick a plate' lunch to rid the fridge of bits and things. Supper will probably be a total mystery of freezer diving

In more 'positive news', DS2 has confirmed covid too! Just posted off mine and DS3s PCR tests (wearing a mask) in the post box. Should find out tomorrow what our fate will be. If we test positive, due to having no symptoms, we will have to isolate for ten days from the day we tested - which is today! So 1st November. Grrr.
DH has become bored of being ill. He is properly grumpy and has lost his sense of smell. He found out when he ran himself a lovely hot bath and realised there was no fragrance, he still has his sense of taste (for the moment). I think he just wants a cuddle, and he really dislikes sleeping alone. Fractious, bored, and grumpy man.
As I am spending all my time alone, I have been looking at the financial situation for the start of next month. I think I can get the mortgage down to £80k (50%) and the renovation fund to £20k.
The roofer firm has reappeared!! When we cannot have them in the house. Typical, will email them with the specifications and await their quote.

DS2 did not have a vaccine because he is a 17 year old idiot. I drove him to a place to get his on the one weekend they did it locally, and he refused to get out of the car, said it was his decision, he would get one when he decided, not when I did. DS4 is 11 weeks too young to have had the vaccine at school - they did it by who was over 12 on that one day they were there, not by year group, DS2 could not have it at the school, as they were there to do 12-15 year olds. If they were over 16 they were refused and told to book into a local session - the appointments are Mon-Fri 9-3 when he is supposed to be at college. The school and college are on the same site.
DH is double vaxxed and positive, I am double vaxxed, DS3 is single vaxxed as that is all 13 year olds are offered. He was vaxxed 15 days ago.
So DS2 is the only one who was eligible and non jabbed. He tested positive after DS4 and DH.

DH was two weeks into face to face teaching at uni - he thinks he got his there, and that it is coincidence DS4 tested positive on Saturday, DH and DS2 on Tuesday and I have felt bone achey since yesterday morning - it is like trying to walk the morning after giving birth, that muscle joint ache hip/back/shoulder burning madness. Don't have the reward of a cuddle afterward though.
Poor DH's happy pills are not making him happy right now. It is all an awful lot of pants.

forgive me for stating the obvious, but you can get an oximeter from Amazon (or other places) for £15-£20 which would be good to check if anybody is maybe struggling a little with the virus. possibly something else to worry about, but more a way of reassuring you that its all minor.
