Nope - my friend kind of did in that we both bought them on the same day around 30 years ago when we bought our first properties - and then she never really used hers - so she's given it me 😊 The handles are now differently shaped, too, due to wear. I was surprised at the difference in the actual granite, though - and the weight difference as a result is quite significant!

@greent - just think of the minerals it has contributed to your diet
@Cheery_Daff - builders always end up costing more than planned as things can never be done on the basis that they have quoted. At one point I felt like asking my HR dept to just divert my salary to the builder!
Goodness me, have I actually crossed EVERYTHING off one of my lists?! I'm not sure that's ever happened before, might need a lie down!!
4.45 - 5.30 RECOMBOBULATING * cup of tea * update kitchen spreadsheets * eat leftover risotto
5.30-7 RESTORING ORDER * shut chickens in * clean out chicken house * put old washing away * hang washing up * wash dishes * clean kitchen * put food shopping away
7.30-8 PREPARING FOR TOMORROW * make lunch * pack bag * lay out clothes * make sure plasterers have tea and biscuits
It was a great list! And you've got off to a great start today
Downsized and paid off mortgage 2010 Retired August 2016 Paid off French mortgage September 2018 New kitchen fully installed June 2019 Not counting this! 2020 Garden fencing completed, woohoo 2021.......... October 2021: aiming for £5,000 new money for premium bonds or a car.
Today has been quite a long one 🙄 OK, but long. Had the whole day in the office, and a difficult and most vexing meeting with a student, the outcome of which has been me agreeing to something that gives them a chance they don't deserve and makes things slightly more inconvenient for me 🙄 hey ho, should be over soon.
Don't think the builders have done anything nefarious today, althoughmain geezer did ring to go through the massive email I sent last night. Apparently plasterer is going to do someone else's job for the later half of this week - not sure why but there we are. At least a couple of days peace.
The little niggling things I referred to have been sorted out though so that's good.
Right, best get some tea, the world is seeming quite bleak and will be better with food!
Well, I was right - I DO feel better after food 😂 especially as some of it was a heavily reduced stir fry pack we picked up earlier.
My poor friend though is having a rotten time. We had lunch with them yesterday, and she said she'd been feeling a bit rough - she's now in hospital waiting to have her gallbladder removed! 😮
