EasyJet - Apr trip but don’t want to go

Hi
I deferred our flights from Jul 30 to Apr 21 last year as we were offered the option to change foc, before flights were cancelled.

April is just round the corner and we are not keen to travel.

1) Do I wait till two weeks before travel date to see if flights are cancelled in order to get my refund?  Would it be the amount I paid for our Jul 2020 trip?

2) Should I renew my travel insurance which is expiring tomorrow given that I have no plan to travel?

thank you

Don't go cancelling it yourself, wait and see if the flights are cancelled by EJ.

Whether 2 is an option I cant answer but other posters with more knowledge will let you know.

  • Yes wait to see if the flights are cancelled or you get the option to move the date again.

Up to you if you renew your insurance or not.  Does it cover you for disinclination to travel on FCDO advice?   Would be worth keeping that in force.

I'd say that will be a non-starter - is it early April ?

10th Apr as that was the furthest school holiday I could change it to last year.  I changed it last year as I thought the flights would be back on but didn’t want to go and not get a refund.

I am hoping it will be cancelled so I can eventually get my refund back.
