Reclaiming Bank Charges within O/d limit

Hi All,
Do you know if you are able to reclaim bank charges over the past 10 years if you were constantly within your overdraft limit? I was constantly using my overdraft to get through each month and had to pay £20-30 charges, however, I always stayed within the limit. Do you know if I can reclaim charges back? The banks did not support in reducing this and the % was always increasing i found every year or so.

No. But if you're in current hardship, you can ask them to look at your account and see what help they can offer.

The banks did not support in reducing this and the % was always increasing i found every year or so.

Did you ever approach the bank to tell them it was a problem? If you were within limits, it would never be flagged up to them unless you tell them.

Yes, I mentioned it to them about the charges and % and they were not very helpful in helping me reducing it.

Depends on what you mean by helpful. if you are not in hardship and just living beyond your means, then there is no reason for them to help you reduce your charges.
Banks are not charities. The only way you get bank charges back nowadays in incorrect implementation (rare) or if you are in current financial hardship and they offer a goodwill gesture.
