PPI was confirmed but not sent in death certificate and proof of entitlement yet is it too late

This is a difficult question. I received paperwork from two banks stating there is a ppi claim and needed to provide a death certificate etc, It was for my late husband who had remarried just before he died so his new wife would inherit the money, so I didnt go to bank with cert. She has also died in Dec 19 so now the money should I think go to our children. Question is have I left it too late the PPI was confirmed as valid claim before deadline. anyone??

I can't answer your question, but as you say, any money would go to your husbands estate. You say that he then appears to have left everything to his new wife ? So if she later died then the money would go to whoever she left it to in her will (or hr closest blood relatives if she died intestate). As your children wonlt be her blood relations, what makes you think they would get anything from her estate?

All you can do is put forward the complaint and see what happens. It won't be for you to determine that the money goes to your children as your late husband's estate will now be part of his new (late) wife's estate.

Of course, the complaint may be rejected in any case and no one will receive any money...
