Quite a spendy day today.
I've looked through the meal plan and I also felt we needed to vary lunch things a bit, so I've bitten the bullet and done another online supermarket delivery for tomorrow. I just can't cope with the prices of the spensive supermarket here. £45 ish, but tops us up on lots of fresh stuff and some treats to keep us going.
This meant that my spensive supermarket shop for today and tomorrow was less than £6.
One of our favourite (but not cheap) independent shops had some children's pjs on half price (£11.25 still, but it's as 'designer' as we get) I could take this out of the Christmas money, but for now it's coming out of my special fund for these weeks away
We also noticed today that pickle's bike helmet really is too small, so we went to the specialist shop in the town here (with an excellent reputation) and bought him a new one - £30. Ouch again, but I won't skimp on safety and his other really was too small. I could probably sell the small one on, but we have a friend here who would probably appreciate it for her little one - so I will offer it to her first, then I don't have to drag it home with me. (This could have come from Pickle's own money, but hey, he's on holiday)
Tilly tidies made too.
All this means I have well and truly overspent today.
£92.70 is my total spend. This means that tomorrow needs to be a lean day:
Cash in purse: £10.50
Unused allowance in bank:£0
Tomorrow's allowance: £10 (£15 overspend today taken into account)
Total: £20.50
That isn't actually too bad, if we keep spends down tomorrow especially as the supermarket order is coming in the evening with some treats for me in it!

Thanks Karma, it's not really a holiday, it's 'hubby working on a long contract and they house is too' but we are doing some holiday type things - ice cream mainly.
Pickle is having a fab time, but he is VERY tired - and not sleeping beyond 5:30 each morning, which is not helpful to my sleep levels.
Low spend day today (phew!)
Spensive supermarket - something for tea tonight (shopping not arriving until this evening) and some essential toiletries that wouldn't wait even until the shopping arrives.
I got a £2 coin in my change, so that's being saved and some shrapnel IMO the change pot.
Total spend today: £8.50.
Money for tomorrow (work in the morning & free cinema in the afternoon)
Cash in purse: £2
Unused allowance in bank: £10.30
Tomorrow's allowance: £25
Total: £37.30 (will probably Tilly tidy the 30p though...)

£1 spent... on popcorn from the local independent cinema where I took Pickle for a special free showing of life of pets 2 this afternoon. Put on by the organisers of the event hubby is working at. Pickle loved it, but he is still exhausted - is he just going to be tired for the whole of '3' (years old)?
I've done a tilly tidy of that random 30p.
So: money for tomorrow
Cash in purse: £1
Unused allowance in bank: £35
Tomorrow's allowance: £25
Total: £61
I may go down to the book shop this evening as there are a couple of books I'd like and a couple I'd like to get Pickle - maybe I'll put them away for the festivities later in the year.
Need to sort Mum's birthday present too.
Have a good evening everyone.
Wish.

So: money for tomorrow:
Cash in purse: £1
Unused allowance in bank: £18
Tomorrow's allowance: £25
Total for tomorrow £44.
I want to take Pickle on the open top bus around the lake tomorrow so bus fair and ice cream money needed, will take a packed lunch with us.
It's too hot to sleep. No breeze at all.

Spends today:
Bus fayre (actually really expensive for what is what, but Small was happy)
Ice cream (must stop this when we get home!)
A kickstarter payment for something for Pickle cleared that I could have sworn we put on hubby's card, but obviously not.
And that's it, so tomorrow's money:
Cash in purse: £6 (took cash out of bank this morning)
Unused allowance in bank: £13
Tomorrow's allowance: £25
Total: £44
Will need to do some market fresh stuff tomorrow and did want to take Pickle out for Breakfast, but I think we may eat from home and see how we get on in the week.
Have a good evening and I hope it's cooler everywhere.
Wish.
