    Frozen strawberries are not much use once defrosted except in smoothies or alternatively if you are only collecting a few at a time you could freeze them and add to the bag until you have enough to make some jam. You need about 10% more strawberries if they've been frozen though.

    Dash. Ah well, may have to either limit the production run or haul the whole family into the pick your own fields.

    Though my "hedge jam" goosegogs, strawberries, raspberries & jostaberries taste glorious & is a reassuring pink colour. Thanks to the 'gogs, it set without tears!
