Anyway - I'm with the financials:
Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and today have been NSDs - that's not bad going at all.
Ntds are failing, but I have massively cut down on all sweet and savoury snacks so that's got to be positive.
My tax rebate is pending in my account woohooo
My wage slip has been sent so that has been set up as a pending transaction in ynab.
I did a day's supply yesterday which will be paid next Friday, which is sill May so will help this month's totals.
Bank holiday weekend. Nothing too much planned, may hit a nt property Saturday, trying. To keep it all cheap and cheerful.
Actually, I do feel better writing all that down. Thank you.

The good: mop pot target hit (but not the extra target- that got swallowed up in overspends)
Nsd target exceeded - but when I spent, I spent good!
Think I've sold a baby gate, hopefully being collected tomorrow. Only £10 but it's clutter out of my house and money in my pocket.
The bad: new shredder needed and, given the amount of shredding we do we went for a mid range small office one. Expensive (£70) but my shredding box is empty for the first time in forever, so money well spent in the time costs money battle. It does more sheets at once, shreds the sheets faster and doesn't overheat as quickly.
Also, we've needed paper for the printer, toner cartridges and several other 'bigger ticket' items that have all contributed to only improving our financial position by £555 this month rather than the £1000 net increase Im used to.
The ugly;: car mot, service and repairs £569 urgh!!! I had enough money in the correct pot, so not an issue, but I had to wam the surplus to cover overspending elsewhere. Still, this is a fresh start. Hopefully I can soon start to build up a 'new car fund' just need to finally get the work finished on the house.
June:
1 day's overtime guaranteed
£180 in travel expenses guaranteed
Should have some availability for supply work too.
Will sort out all my targets when the mortgage interest is added. Interest was £1.78 a day for this month, hoping for £1.75 this month, we'll see.

Tilly tidies from the bills pot and from some grocery shopping yesterday has taken me over my first two minor mop pot targets. Just the long slog for the £200 to go now. Last night I had some really easy wins, tax rebate, a load of books etc sent off to z1ff1t. Which I've not got this month. I do have the bank account monthly rewards and isa interest to add when it appears on the account. So a little boost there. At some point i should also get the switching reward but that may not be until August.
House update
Still living in a building site, have had another fireplace contractor round. Quite like this one, but he's on holiday this week so another delay. We have contracted a brickie to do a minor repair on an inside feature wall. I will ask him for a ball park figure for the yard wall while he's here. I know that will need major saving for, but it's good to know what my target is.
Need to start measuring up for the wine racks too.

Not a nsd (needed to get fuel tonight for my work trip tomorrow) but it was a ntd so that is a start.
Sold something on fb marketplace that was collected today.
Slowly building the mop pot up for this month. No interest or rewards added to the bank accounts as yet. So, hopefully I'll have those to ynab tomorrow. So sad I know.

Money wise, a few spends whilst I've been away that I can't claim for. But that's ok. Budgets are hiking up pretty well.
Debt busting my body is not going as well. Much harder to see the benefits/damage over a short period of time so I find the motivation harder. Urgh!
Time to just keep plodding through the month.

Really tired tonight and a bit stressed so I hope I sleep. Some Tilly tidies made as I felt I could afford to lose them from their current categories. Happy Thursday.

Hubby booked theatre tickets for Pickle and I. But we had lots of extras. I've also in a very un mse way managed to lose my raincoat so that had to be replaced. Fortunately I found a lighting weight one for £30, so not a disaster. I also purchased a small vacuum cleaner for the loft office. The shredder shreds will be banished!
It has obviously all meant a hammering on the budget. But all out of revenue, so no impact on long term financials at the moment. 3 weeks of the month left and, for once it's the grocery budget that's holding its own. Fuel spends are going to be high this month, but I'll claim it all back. I NEED (remind me of this!) to start putting my travel expenses towards a new car, not towards my usual mop pot or moving fees. I will probably have to replace my car in the next 1-2 years. We shall see.
Pickle is very tired despite doing very little.
Need to sort washing tonight. Tomorrow is another day. Hubby may or may not be around - I cannot work out his schedule at the moment. I do know that I do need to pack tomorrow though for another night away.
Happy weekend everyone.
