I am very much enjoying the lovely weather at the moment, hope you are all enjoying it too. I was just thinking about the savings on our gas bill at the moment and now I can't remember if I turned off the timed heating after my shower or not (I just pop it on so the towels dry on the towel rail) I'll soon find out when I get home, but I'm out all evening first :rotfl: fingers crossed I just did it on autopilot!

Bad news is my foot is mega-painful so I need to go back to the physio. I can feel my OH mentally shaking his head every time I book another appointment but I need to believe that I can get it fixed and get back to doing the things I love, or even just walk pain-free! The good news is that eBay have refunded some big fees on an item so that covers most of the cost :)

I am looking forward to going to the second job this weekend and doing some proper training, I am doing 3 hours both days so not a lot and I will be done by 1PM each day so it's not like it is taking much out of my day! I am also mildly optimistic I might get the pay from the 3 hours last weekend (The whole £20 it will be :rotfl: :rotfl: ) on their usual payday of the 28th but I'm equally not bothered if I don't get it. It just means I'll have an extra 9 hours pay on next month's payslip, which is around an extra £60 :) I know I get taxed 20% on this second income so it works out around £40 actually in my pocket per weekend, not including any overtime I pick up (which I intent to do as much as I can)

No to-do list today I am on top of all life admin at the mo, I just need to keep an eye out on PA and swagbucks as usual :) x

I am on a roll with posting!

I am currently at work waiting for the person to turn up to repair the chip on my windscreen, I checked my policy and repairs are free via insurance with no impact on no claims, so I saved the £25 I was going to spend. I'd rather a proper company do it that specialise in it, than take it to Halfords. So now all I need to do before MOT day is replace my cracked reg plate (happy for Halfords to do that one) and give it a clean and tidy up.

I did leave the timed heating on yesterday but I actually doubt that it ever kicked in, the thermostat is set to around 14 or 15 degrees I think and it was never any cooler than that when it would have been the time period for it to be on.

Not much else to report, just plodding along until payday now!

    Hi SSDD23

Just caught up with your diary. I have a dodgy knee and every now and again I head back to docs/physio in the hope something will work - so hopefully your foot will find a fix.

I started with Monzo recently but only have a 1p a day pot. I would like a buffer pot so that I’m not living Paycheck to paycheck.

    Good luck:)

Both shifts at second job went well over the weekend, I will find out tomorrow I guess if I am going to get any money for the first shift I did with them :D

Doing my usual few hours at main job today, always pointless on a Bank Hol all I do is a bit of cleaning and mostly sit on the computer trying to earn some extra pennies.

Physio after work today, then home to have dinner with OH and I think we are going to see John Wick 3 this evening, we were supposed to go yesterday but ended up having an afternoon nap instead :rotfl:

I should be able to cash out another £5 from Swagbucks in the next day or so, and got some surveys waiting to be approved on Prolific, and also got some Intellizoom studies that should be paid in the next two weeks which will go straight into my "Carry Over" and "Car Insurance Etc" pots on Monzo.

Hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday, even though the weather is miserable! (Here, anyway!)

Wooo, I actually got paid today for all 3 of the shifts I did at the second job!

My eBay refund did not clear in time, so put it on OH credit card and will pay it back shortly from the small wages I got, and put £15-£20 in the carry over pot for next month. I should get the money from the eBay refund today. Looking through the emails, last time I got an email from PayPal saying I had the refund, and then saw it in my bank account the next day. I will probably use some/all of that money to make a very small debt over payment.

We got 6 weeks worth of Sainsbury's vouchers in the post for £7.50 off of a £50 spend, which is what we aim to spend each week anyway for us and the two kids who inhale food and pop! So the plan is to use them if it works out cheaper than going to Aldi.

I discussed with OH last night about meal planning for the week ahead which he said he was happy to do provided it isn't repetitive and boring. We keep ending up with the same conversation of "so what shall we have for dinner tonight?" and this should solve that problem! I also broached the idea of a post-it system for jobs that need doing around the house. I'll put up the jobs that need doing on the inside of a cupboard door and they can just get binned when they are done. It's mostly as OH does housework when he gets time, but it's normally things that don't need doing as urgently as others but he doesn't notice they get done, such as descaling the kettle, putting drain cleaner in the shower drain, etc. He seemed okay with the idea :o

Our heating has been off since last week, so I am looking forward to seeing a big drop in our "Live Balance" with Tonik when I put our meter readings on tonight.

Other than that, just plodding along. Main payday is on Friday when the bulk of the debt payments go out, so looking forward to updating the balances then.
