My wife has just come back to her car and got a parking ticket. She purchased the ticket and had to enter her ref details while buying the ticket. She forgot to display the ticket on her car which is why she got the fine.

Can this be challenged?

Every council PCN can be challenged - and no risk as long as it's done online within 13 days, as Councils will re-offer the discount when inevitably rejecting the informal appeal from the driver. So the discount stays in play and is frozen during this first stage.

Not that most cases are won at first appeal - so if she wants to win, she should register on pepipoo forum where the majority of Council PCN experts are:

and show them pics of BOTH SIDES (yes, the back, too...) of the PCN.

No Hotmail emails allowed on pepipoo. Almost everyone has a case but they will take a look at the PCN and advise further. No posting without pics.

Cases are won at the later stages (no discount) so it's all or nothing, with good odds.

I am doing a second stage NTO appeal to a Council right now for a relative and told him to forget the silly discount bribe and take that leap of faith.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
